+MyNemesis123 unlike in the U.S. where you can debut immediately, in Korea you are professionally trained for an average of 3 years in vocals, dancing, and acting. There are some KPOP artists who were trainees in their company for even 8-10 years. Jokwon from 2AM trained for 8 years and Jihyo from TWICE trained for 10 years. Not saying anything bad about the artists in the U.S. just in case someone misunderstands my point. :P

+MyNemesis123 Basically what the previous comment is saying is that America is based largely on talent while Korea is based largely on working their asses off. Korea is known to have ridiculous work ethic.

***** That's why when celeb relationships in the US end because they don't get to see each other often, too busy, etc I laugh so much. Cuz in Korea its more understandable especially for idol couples. The idol couples literally go months without seeing each other because they are so busy. And when they do get to see each other they have to act as if they don't know each other because of the crazy fans.

Subin Kim Yeah, it's not really that big a deal who's dating who in america. Americans only take interest but never really oppose things as extremely as Korean fans do. Korean celebrities truly have the hard life.

+Subin Kim when Baek Ayeon first appeared in Kpop star she already had her beautiful voice. She refined it over the last few yrs but she sure had a great talent to begin with. This is the case for many in Korea. It is rare to find vocally gifted from general public in America. I only know handful of people that I could say they are good at singing. But in Korea I know so many. People in general sings pretty well. Singing culture is deeply rooted in Korea. Kids grow up going to karaokes, families go to karaokes, singing contests are given in most school activities, picnics, get togethers... you name it. I really think Korean culture promotes singing and people are generally good at singing there. Same goes for Philippinos. They are good singers and their love for music is well known.

She really famous in korea, maybe not for international fans, since she is soloist. She always got 1 on the chart when her song released, even all kill or maybe perfect all kill. Also her song has the highest number of downloads. Korean love her song so much
