Hi matt, great video so thank you for that, I see how accurate you are with the catty, this is something I struggle with so much whilst holding the pole. I have watched a few videos from you professionals and you all make it look so easy, what would you recommend apart from the obvious practice and would you consider doing a video on the subject in the near future ? Same as Grumpy Grandad , I too struggle with catty accuracy. Any tips on type of catty & technique would be useful. In the meantime I’ll continue practicing & spraying everywhere (haha).

I'm no professional and sometimes not the most accurate my self, but the general idea is when you have you're pole across you're legs and supported by you're elbow and forearm (you're right hand if you're right handed) don't move you're right arm but use you're right hand to grab the pouch and pull the catapult forward with you're left free hand. Then it just finding the range of the catapult you're using. Hope this helps and I explained it well enough for you to understand

"Fish are still little bit cagey" LMFAO! Try fishing one of the south coast estuaries for Thicks and you'll never think one single carp is "Cagey" again. BTW, this is not a sarky comment directed against Preston. I love your gear and it's in general top quality and well thought out (I use quite a bit of it). Plus has many uses outside of commercial fisheries. It's just that this one comment suggests that this is a difficult situation to be in. Let's all be honest here; Commercial Fisheries aren't meant to be hard (they're designed to help you catch fish). If you want hard, try fishing natural venues like rivers and estuaries. Then go back to your local "Commercial" and tell me that it's hard, or that the fish are "Cagey"! Anyway, it's just a thought. :)

Matty, what’s your opinion on big bore short kits with a 15 or 17 elastic, would 15lb summer carp in open water do me or is there not really a lot of difference with a standard top kit … great vid by the way

A standard length top kit is much preferred when targeting large carp. The extra length of elastic prevent's it from being bottomed out.

Yes, the topkits are the same throughout the Superium range so the gray top kits will fit it 👍
