You know it's all about the storybook narrative. "The powers that be" want LeBron and his son to be the first active father/son duo in NBA history. It would make for an amazing narrative that will likely boost viewership, merchandise and tickets sales more than anything before, even Michael Jordan. People will want to see how well father and son play together and if they can/will win a championship together. It's great marketing.

It's one player and he's still good. NBA good? That is to be determined. And his father is arguably the greatest player of all time. Why is everyone ignoring the fact that it's making history. There's clearly a reason why this is happening. No player is going to be able to challenge Mike or LeBron for a long time to no one will have this type of influence to determine a draft pick like this for their child. Most players don't play long enough to have an opportunity. It's alright any other 55th pick would've been in the G league anyway.

You definitely aren’t supposed to use the bad behavior of others. Actually, black people have been saying it's bad when white people do it, but the truth is that most black people just wanna do whatever white people do. That's why black people ALWAYS compare themselves to white people. The argument is ALWAYS "it's ok for white people, so why not us" That's pathetic because what it reflects is that many black people genuinely believe that white people are superior and therefore whatever white people do, black people should be able to do, right or wrong and half the time it's wrong.

@@lastsam9846i think the point against nepotism is that it dilutes competition. Whatever arena you choose, an nba arena or corporate. Bronny took the spot of a person who put up better numbers than him. It’s essentially what capitalistic democracy isn’t, we went from kingdoms where the land was at the mercy of someone who’s in charge simply because of their name, to capital where some one is reaping the benefits of their talent and hard work. The NBA is essentially a monopoly so they’re not competing against other basketball leagues, they’re essentially competing for global viewership, so there’s a story in it for them to sell, one about nepotism babies which will definitely gain a lot of eyes. If the NBA had a legitimate competitor league, they’d be at risk of being closer to wwe and reality television than they are to a professional league. That’s not to say that they won’t get views, but those views would come with significant risk when it comes to betting and authenticity.

This isn't really nepotism because LeBron don't run shit with the Lakers or the NBA. He's an employee. This is marketing approved by the NBA front office. 🤔I just think a lot people have a dislike towards LeBron & that's the main issue here .. Never seen the word nepotism get thrown around so much, more than I have this past week .. This is supposed to be a great moment in Blk excellence & sports history combined but im seeing to many goofies sit around wanting to talk about rather Bronny deserve ths or not & now this clown talking about go use your nepotism to do something else???????? Man huh?? 🤨🤦🏾‍♂️ .. You know how many undeserving people are in positions of wealth & power all because of nepotism in ths country but Bronny James is where yall draw the line????? Man please🙄 .. Congrats to the James family .. Happy you all were able to pull this off .. Keeping making em mad & stepping on necks 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾💪🏾

That's a big part of it, but they are the same people driving buzz words like "generational wealth" into the ground. And people are so short-sighted acting like his basketball career (regardless of the length of time) is going to hinder Bronny from other things. He can pivot at any time and be fine, he's not even 20 yet. They love when white people plan ahead for generations, but there's always nitpicking for the children of wealthy Black people.

1st how is someone gonna tell me as a kid not to play basketball and go do something else. Especially if I can play. Stop tryn to control someone future and ur future is bleek. 2nd, if u got a chance to help ur kid to get a job and set them up for the future, whats wrong with that?! That's what a parent supposed to do! Hell, if ur homie or home girl need a job and u in position to hire them at McDonald's, u gonna hire them b4 hiring a stranger. Didn't hear this much hate towards Archie Manning for his kids, Denzel Washington towards his son, or the thousands to millions of other parents that's known to help their kids. I bet if any on this panel have kids that's really interested in the same profession as them, their kid will get a job. People too invested in hate and don't even know it.

Dwade was never trash. Even in old age he played limited minutes but was highly efficient for a 2g. Lebron should have never traded him. I guess dwade wanted his son to earn it. He probably could have forced his son onto the miami heat or bulls if he really wanted to.

He tried to force his son into the league but his son wasn’t good enough and he also he didn’t have as much power as LeBron. DWade partially owns the Jazz and his son was in the G league and still couldn’t crack the roster.

Bronny better get drafted whether he is good or not because of what his dad did for the league. MJs sons didn’t even make it to the NBA and that shows the lack of respect for MJ. It’s about his kids being able to benefit off his legacy . That’s what we do it for. I served 20 years in the military and now my kids get a military ID and college for free, and preference in government jobs. Bronny got to get in on GP

A lot of people are doing a whole lot of talking with no facts just assumptions. Every year there are people who get drafted that aren't skilled enough to play in the NBA that same year however their work ethic and intelligence mixed with how they relate to team mates some end up being decent to really good players. Some don't pan out at all. Hella people get hired for jobs everyday that they aren't ready for yet they get the job. Shit some of these podcasts were not good when they started however they got better over time.

No she's not. Nepotism is always bad. So why emulate bad behavior? Doing so makes the emulator just as bad as the the one being emulated. You can't copy bad and get good. If you have a bad copy of a music album or movie and copy it, it ain't gonna magically fix what was wrong with the original copy, you're just gonna end up with two bad copies instead of one. Same principle applies here. Morals and values go out the window for the 💰 with most people though.
