Hello everyone! Today I've prepared a quick and easy recipe for a baguette with mozzarella and garlic butter.
You will need:
- Baguette
- Mozzarella cheese
- Garlic (a whole large head)
- butter
- olive oil
- Herbs to taste (fresh or dried)
- salt, pepper
First you need to roast the garlic.
Cut about 0.5 cm off the head of the garlic to "expose" the cloves as in the video, drizzle with olive oil, salt and pepper, wrap in foil and bake at 180 degrees for about 40 minutes.
Check the garlic after 40 minutes. The garlic is ready when the middle clove is completely soft - you can check this with a knife. The exact baking time depends on the size, variety and age of the garlic.
By the way: Baked garlic can be kept in the fridge for up to 2 weeks!
Squeeze the garlic out of the skin, mix with the soft butter and add the herbs.
Spread this mixture on the baguette and sprinkle with cheese.
Bake at 180 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
Best eaten warm.
