I know. It's difficult to expaline foreigners about nature of Indian movies. 😆😆 Because our movies are purely made for Indians. We indians love good songs, imaginary scenes, over the top action etc in the movie. But foreigners can find it annoying.

So, my interpretation of this song (19:47) is that its all in their imagination. It is basically a metaphor for representing how Devasena put obstacles in Baahubali's way, in order to test him on how he deals with them. Ofc as a warrior badass queen herself, she needs a man who can deal with problems. Hence, we see her putting some weird pink magic spell on the ocean and creating a storm, but Baahubali uses his own "magic" to fight the storm. Unlike a normal man who would steer the ship masterfully, though, Baahubali makes the ship fly - which is something extraordinary. As a unique and special woman herself, Devasena finds this very appealing. The entire musical sequence basically represents how they fall more deeply in love with this boatride back home. Especially after Devasena realizes how great of a man Baahubali is, just as he had long before realized what a great women she was.

@@zohanakhan7290 I think it’s because Bollywood movies tend to have musical numbers which are often imagination scenes, but in Hollywood, they take movies quite literally. Even in Hollywood musicals, the music numbers almost always HAPPEN, so the idea prolly just never came to them 😅

If you’re talking absolute weird plots and fantastical creatures doing something totally out of the world, I do think Asia does a better job overall in that aspect. You cant judge because you don’t know asian movies - asian meaning Indian, Korean, Thai, Chinese etc. But _I_ do know both Hollywood and Indian movies so I am a better judge of this probably

Great video guys.. The director of the movie is a huge fan of Indian Fantasy and Mythology. He did mention that the story of Lion King was taken as a reference, however this is a pretty universal storyline which is majorly found in Mythology. The Telugu dancer actor which was being mentioned , his name is Allu Arjun, who's pretty popular in North too. I'd like to give some recommendations for movies you might like ; 1. Tumbad 2 . Don 1 &2 3. Super Delux (Tamil) 4. Asuran 5. Agent Sai Sreenivas 6. Drishyam 7. Andhadun These are movies which are created with a different style and are not the usual "bollywood song and dance" types... few in the list don't Even have songs ..

Black face doesn't have the same connotation in the rest of the world as it does in the USA, so it isn't racist. There are tribal groups which actually smear different types of ashes on their faces. Also a black faced demon is part of Indian mythology which dates back thousands of years, while the concept of "blackface" in the USA dates back only to a few centuries, so it really doesn't mean the same thing in India.

The thing with the director of this movie 'SS Rajamouli' is that he likes to portray protagonists as superheroes and he is obsessed with weapons. His every movie's protagonist has an iconic signature weapon just like Jon Snow's sword 'LongClaw' in GoT

At the end of the titles there a voice comes up where a daughter asks her father "Hey dad so if Mahendra baahubali has son does his son become the next king? Then father replies who know? " During the promotions of RRR movie when Rajamouli was asked about part 3 of baahubali series he said we are exploring the world of baahubali at the moment and you will soon hear an exciting news about it. And even prabhas said Rajamouli told him ten scripts and he chose one which is the 2 part series which we watched and he also gave a subtle hint of part 3 so there's still hope for part 3

Its funny you guys mentioned Lion King since it is the only reference you got but in Indian mythology this is reminiscent of Lord Krishna...Lord Krishna's maternal uncle was evil King Kansa who got prophecy that his sister's seventh child will be the one to vanquish him, so he imprisoned his sister and her husband and killed every baby that was born but when the seventh baby was due, divine powers intervened and let Krishna's father out of the prison to carry him to a cowherder tribe to a woman called Yashoda and then he returned to prison knowing the baby is safe and Yashoda and her husband raised Krishna in their tribe and when he got older, he learned about his true lineage and returned to his kingdom and killed his uncle and freed his parents and his kingdom....that is the basis of this movie and you can see most of the plot from this mythology

Actually in India when the country was in monarchy ... there were almost 100+ kingdoms and maybe more than 500... like Kattapa there were so many heroes who had to did some wrong things because their ancestors and they gave their word to serve for the kingdom.... Even If they are going to die they must protect the king and the kingdom.... and the scene where bahubali was making and inventing different things... That was all the knowledge they gain from the Vedas and Upnishads ... At that time people study from vedas because they were the books which are full of knowledge from space galaxy to the engineering ... from medical to the Yoga.... From Using different Weapons to War tactis.... I know Indian movies are dramatic and so hyper... But If you know Hindi you will never feel like that .... Because these dialouges are so good... But yes sometimes even we feel that movies are so dramatic XD .... Watch some other Movies from Bollywood and South You will love them

Do watch the Historical drama “Tanaji”.. good and fun action sequences, based on Maratha King Shivaji’s very brave legendary Army “General”. Ajay Devgun as Tanaji and Saif Ali Khan as the opponent, I forgot the historical person portrayed by Saif , but a really excellent performance in a negative role. Shivaji was famous for his War Tactics and maybe credited with the concept of “Guerilla Warfare” as a concept, at least in Indian History. Very entertaining movie.

YYayayyyy..it is here..!!!! there needs to be a small correction in the description. This is a Telugu cinema movie from Tollywood and not Tamil cinema movie from Kollywood. It was dubbed in Tamil simultaneously but originally it is Telugu language movie. People are bit sensitive about this topic here in India. Now abt the movie, story is pretty good and the action is balls deep anime..!!! It's one of my fav movies..!!!!!

Those who know full story of mahabharat u will realize that this story is inspired from mahabharat n u can relate each n every main character even story resembles the same ... baby crossing river is hiw Krishna was transferred to adopted parents to save from his uncle . Bhallaladevs dad n bahubali father are siblings same like drithrashtr blind king n father of dhuryodhan n died one is father of pandava n list goes on .. Lot of similarities u shud watch while mahabharat series

Really wish they watched actual good cinema like Taare Zameen Par, Andhadhun, Dangal, Lagaan, Talvar, Raazi, Kapoor & Sons, etc. These movies are not only great, but will also be a lot more palatable to a Western audience. Or even movies like Visaranai or Jai Bhim, that way they can draw parallels to subject like police brutality, which is also a hot button topic in the US.

Y the hell do u think the movies which are palatable to Western audience are the only good movies, the people living in west are also humans, not some kind of gods whose fantasy movies taken from comics are the most supreme films created ever. Uk what the East needs to get rid of people like u who put west above their heads. Further, these reactions are not watched by most indians looking up to them nor looking down on them but as fellow people who live in other countries... People like u carry the entire west on ur heads.....

@@satyamanu2211 lmao, stop projecting someone else's issues on me. I don't crave Western approval whatsover. I, like many other Indians, find the Baahubali films quite mediocre. Also, the point about watching movies that might be more palatable to the Western audience is because they are Westerners, genius. You ease into another culture when it's vastly different from yours. Then you can upgrade to watching more "Indianized" stuff. Watching something "too exotic" can be off-putting & can potentially make you give up altogether, missing out on tons of great content. That stands especially true for Westerners as they tend to live in their own bubble.

How is it mediocre 😑 Simply because it doesn't have weird biology, and chi creatures screaming doesn't make it a bad period fantasy...😑

Guys I liked your reaction. Very genuine. Seems like you felt emotional when bahubali died, especially the blonde girl was crying. I remember I too cried in theater when I watched it. The movie is a gem and the music was phenomenal. It beats the heart chords at some points and many wow situations through out. Hope you have seen the first part also. Love to see your reaction. 💝💝

Lion king you seen is remake of original lion king that came 20 or 25 years ago. Both are great movies but bahubali in my opinion is whole another level. The plot no body could predict. Where as lion king is simple plot without complications. A nice movie too.
