This long alaap too is out of place before a ghazal. Sh Hariharan should stick to the pakka raags. Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan Saheb, who was perhaps Sh Hariharan’s Ustad, has sung this ghazal sublimely well - simply put, it’s the real thing.
