The forced recovery on kabari has always been a thing, it just means that it won't travel further after hitting someone and starts pulling back from where the hit happened.

Very thankful for the s3 Baiken guide, I was really really looking forward to it!! Actually, I was kinda dooming on day1 because of the nerfs on yozansen, yologun, parry and overall damage, plus Baiken not getting the combo WA. But I've gotten around to using tether A LOT more now which kinda makes up for the other stuff, and now you show me the 5P tether/tatami os, headshot tech and jS yozansen situational combos! Oh I am so very happy, I can't thank you enough!!

Oh, by the way, has any fellow Baiken main found any way to convert a round start hit into a wall break using only one WA? (And the second WA to break). I've been doing it with Johnny and Sin and it basically wins you a round for free, but I haven't been able to find any route on Baiken from roundstart fS or 2H.

At first I loved the changes because I like that is harder to do stuff and that I have to autopilot less due to the reduced conversion ability on her, plus WA give her a lot of interesting conversions. Now that people has more experience with WA conversions I really feel like Baiken is worse in relation to other characters that now have amazing conversion ability. Some characters feel like they can break the wall with anything as long as they have 50 burst, but for Baiken I have to work so much and so many kabaris drop at certain ranges that makes piloting Baiken quite harder.

Damn LK wasn't lying. that double tatami corner route off yzn rrc do be kinda hard. also good to hear that the IAD tatami i was doing after j.S j.236S is actually decent and not just a meme i was going to do until i found something better.

i'm pretty sure the reason kenjyu can hit 3 times (only on standing opponents) is because the explosion spawns 5 frames after it hits the enemy, and then another explosion spawns upon collision with the ground, so the second explosion hits 1 frame after the first one. in other words, its probably a bug that will get patched out next patch :( edit: spelling

the biggest nerf is that the character select screen has the website's difficulty ratings and for some reason they changed her from a 4 to a 5 despite arguably making her harder. whadda hell.

Comming back from baiken season one. was spamming babuns brain with sol. now going back to baiken on season 3. tree hit gun was verry good thanks for the light out.

Was just watching a few days old stream of you playing online. Trying to get into the character but this game is not very friendly for those new to fighting games, especially with all these changes making parts of old videos obsolete. Thanks for all your content, it helps a lot!

All games have updates which invalidate old content. Additionally, this is probably the best time to get into a fighting game as a new player, because new systems means you don't have to spend time breaking old habits. These micro-changes to frame data and hit properties isn't important if you're new to to GGS.

@@Count_Virgil yes but many other games have changes that are a lot easier to adjust to and mostly just boils down to certain exploits being fixed and characters/items getting nerfed. Fighting games are a lot more technical and I’m not talking about frame data specifically. Saying one move can confirm into another and it being outdated info can mess you up and be frustrating to figure out. It’s a lot different than majority of the “all games” you are talking about. I will say the well fleshed out training mode is a blessing.

All fighting games are tough to get into, but I'm glad you picked guilty gear. I'm still learning it, too. Trust me, it gets easier.

@@KamikazeNinja05 Honestly I think you are overexagerating (or maybe under depending on the point of view). Fighting games usually don´t have as drastic changes as this except for maybe once a year. That is pretty much in line if not less than most other games these days.The only genre where even bigger changes aren´t felt as much as as other genres is shooters because there it´s usually just new recoil patterns you need to adjust to depending on the new best gun. Well whatever. Welcome to the world of Fighting games. It´s an absolutely beautifull rabbit hole with relatively few bad spots. Go out there and kick some ass!

Strive and SF6 have the most beginner friendly additions in their respective series history and there’s tons of content on KZfaq specifically for newer players. The info is both in game and on the internet, you just have to look

Gun super is a funny move. The first hit can also be used to unstick opponents from the wall. Without breaking it.

Way necro response, but as long as you're not doing it raw I find it pretty easy to treat it like a jump install from the old games where you get them to block jcable normal, input jump and then do a non tiger knee input. I think if you're clean with it 98741236k would get it for you raw without having to hold the down.

IABD Yozansen > 5K > j.D, 66 > j.S > j.Yozansen > c.S > 5H Does a little more damage and is a little easier than the shown IABD combo

Thanks for the video; it's good to know about the changes that weren't included in the patch notes. However, there is a bit of "copium" at the start of the video. Yes, she has more options, but her buttons aren't the best. Her mix-up move, "youzansen," is still tension-hungry, and her normals struggle to convert into a meaningful reward, even on counter hits. This is why the counter nerf on H kabari is really detrimental. All the other characters are much stronger now, and she is practically forced to play in the corner.

I REALLY dislike what they did to her, like fixing almost none of her issues, nerfing her and the buffs she got don't really shake my perception of her that much. There's maaaany things that they could've done to the character and missed the opportunity for whatever reason. buff some of her framedata like 5hs and 6p. They can make S-Kabari even faster, i don't think 2 frames makes a huge difference if ppl were already fuzzy jumping HS-Kabari, 6k instead of being faster so she could always combo out of max-range 5p/2k/5k, they gave it a stagger effect... She's even more meter reliant this patch in my opinion, she's kinda still playing last season. What bothers me the most is that most characters got stronger in this patch or new fun stuff, and the top-tiers are still there. Well, i think i should keep maining Nago for the 3rd season lmao. I hate that the yolo playstyle was nerfed bc it was just my preferred way to play. Buuuuut when i have to actually play the game i am glad to have more legit tools to fallback on.

So Baiken is overall stronger if youre insane and can do nutty combos and execution. She is still weaker in her normal usecases as i was saying. Sad 😔 Also her tether not staying out that extra frame is definitely a nerf to how i was using it. Where ppl would just walk or airdash i to the S Kabari. Now its definitely tougher to use.
