Love the lighter wood and the wardrobes are lovely and practical. Glad to see the bathroom basin has been changed. I love our unicorn but find the bathroom basin very annoying. Great to see a new vlog from you xx

Wow! That was a REALLY professionally fronted & produced video. I like the look of the new Cabrera though I HAD been thinking of a slightly lighter replacement van - not a problem for the Santa Fe though.

Watched the live launch and was impressed, my only concern is what’s going to tow these caravans in years to come 🤔🤔

Hooray Bailey have been listening and moved the EHU back to where it should be. I like the offside night light as I use two solar lights which slide into the awning rail. We have a Brandisi and put a film over the toilet window. Can’t understand why it is clear. But I really like that van.

Looks like there are some good improvements. Like the big front window and the shaped wardrobes for extra space. The springs in the front benches will be better. The extra MTLPM is to be expected with all the additions and still not a bad payload. The Cartagena has a good O/S Singe! ;) Great vlog Dan

I am a caravaner and have a 2001 Bailey senator california. It looks quite dated but is still 100% functional and I have had no issues with it in all the years I've owned and used it. I do occasionally get tempted to buy a new van but the prices are now just silly money, circa £30k for a similar sized van to mine. No matter how hard I look at them I struggle to see why they now cost so much. £30k for a van and an average of £30 per night to stay on a caravan site. I could have a good few years of holidays in the sun for that sort of money or a deposit on a house for the kids. At a local show a few years back, there were a few far larger and more luxurious 5th wheelers that were less money than large twin wheel touring vans. Now most caravan dealers around my way are concentrating more on motor homes than caravans and I notice there is a definate shift away from tourers at many dealerships now. Tbh if I did buy a new van again it would be an Adria as I think the build quality of new vans has been quite appalling for many years now and I have more than a few friends who have bought new vans that have leaked badly and some have had new roofs, front ends, back ends.

The front of the caravan reminds me of the Bailey Orion, and this year Bailey have done a fab job it looks so good, however, the bathroom window would annoy me as it’s not in line with the others but being a high window people are maybe less going to see you while in the bathroom but yes a frosted window would be easier

They are very nice looking vans, is good they have moved the power to the other side as that is a pain on the awning side. Agree the washroom window on the one looks out of place, also not a fan of the framing around the 2 smaller front windows on the inside, makes them look like windows on a commercial plane 🤔

Hi Dan. The updates to the Unicorn have been very well thought out. Love the pre-wiring for WIFI & M/Mover. This may make the others catch up. Not sure about the front window though. Thanks Phil. 👍🙂

Great presentation of the New Unicorn range. Shame the Merida been dropped from range it had a better layout than the Seville with proper shape wardrobe ie would fit more than 3 tee shirts etc and a bit shorter OAL. Also always wondered why Bailey do not have front external storage lockers on the ‘vans ?

I don't know why the window would be clear... surely frosted but that's my opinion. On the "live launch" the seating at times looked lilac.... were they? Will that even larger front window leak over time... well lets wait and see. And those curtains and fly screens.... no no no not for me. Anyway... enjoyed the review. Ian...

Why did they move the power point only now???? I have had my "upmarket" Alicanto Grande for only 5 weeks and I have to trail the power cord through my awning!!! Grrrrr! However, some nice ideas - afraid we're now firm fans of fixed singles and rear washroom but I know the doubles are popular. (Can't be doing with central washroom but, then, ours is a 2 berth with loads of space;-) )

If it's pre-wired for wifi I assume it's just some ethernet cable in the frame. Do you envisage a point where we hook up the data on a pitch as well as other services? Have you ever seen ethernet at the hookup point? Most parks would need to run fiber to the pitch due to the run length but once it was done it's done for a greater amount of time than wifi. save having crappy TVs and aerials all over the place. Also would get around poor wifi signals in parks or will we be connecting the caravan to the hotspot provided by the tow car?

The bathroom window being clear and not in line with the others would be a no no for me!

Very nice van we have the series 3. Just one question have Bailey addressed the wet floors under the vans.

Always surprises me how small the payload is on these huge caravans. It’s not flashy for the website, but increasing the payload will have a huge benefit for real world use. Add a motor mover, some bedding, Wi-Fi kit, a couple of TVs a change of clothes, pint of milk, and a limited drawer of knives/forks/utensils, modest set of pans and plates - hardly excessive list - and you shoot past the payload. With all that storage, it doesn’t take much for more and more essentials to find their way in permanently. In reality people add a whole lot more as fill their cupboards with clothes, often stock up the fridge and have bits and bobs in the locker including very heavy hitch locks, electric cable and water pipes and aquaroll. With the increased focus by police on safe towing and regular towing checks on caravans in hotspots, it is certainly the elephant in the room that leading brands should be addressing. Keep up the great work. My 4th year caravanning, and your channel really help me in those early days to do things well and avoid buying the wrong kit.

Does the Cabrera have window fly blinds or is it just the net curtain? Seems a bit of a backward step if the concertina blinds don't include a fly screen

A pull down blind would be nice in the bathrooms 🚽

Can't believe Bailey are still fitting that cumbersome and difficult to reach manual bypass valve for the onboard tank fill. A simple solenoid valve with a remote switch would save you having to lift the seat and rummage up the back to turn the valve. The larger beds are OK but at 4' 9", standard bedding won't fit as they are now between a double and a king. Also, why do they not fit frosted windows in the washroom? Also, on the Cartagena, it comes pre-wired for Mifi and a mover but not a rear view camera. I think, as usual, Bailey have missed several tricks here.

Do they come with a bug cover on the front windows?

From Canada: I try to understand the end washroom concept when four people are on board: people sleeping at the front will have to pass through the others sleeping area to access the washroom during the night. A central washroom would make more sense to me.

Great vlog as usual although I hate pine, these British built vans are full of it. Think it is time that interior designers at Bailey etc move with the times and move away from the pine and light wood finish!

Quirky Bailey, they move the power connection after many years of customer complaints only to fit a clear window in an odd place for the bathroom, do they never learn or is it for customer feedback

Bed sizes in feet & inches ...... caravan weights & lengths in metric. The UK has been inching towards metrication for 50 years ;-) Liked the review though. :-)

Just been to look at the Cabrera at my local dealer. Very disappointed. My main priority was the bed. The size of the bed was fantastic. I am 6 feet and 15 stone. When the bed is extended in night mode it is very difficult to get around the bed to get to the loo. You would have to be love island thin to find this easy. Totally put me off the caravan. Looked at the Pamplona. Out of my budget, but you only live once, so ordered the Pamplona. Don’t compromise.

Good looking vans particularly like the twin axle love that layout. As you stated cannot understand why they haven’t frosted bathroom window at also it’s height is a bit odd. One pet hate about alde heating thou. Why do the manufacturers always put the tank in the wardrobe next to you head . Anyway moan over great to see you again 👍

Glad they’ve got their exterior graphics sorted by someone who knows what they are doing once again as this was making them look like Poundland. The Unicorn 4 was a bad huge step backward from the very good model 3 as is the truly nasty and naff graphics of the Phoenix range.

Why don’t they ask seasoned caravaners for their imput, they don’t have to send detailed plans just a questionnaire would do based on the sales of the previous model, or ask questions based on the new model and change things, surely changing a plain glass window for a frosted one is common sense, don’t the workers or owners go caravaning??

So Bailey brighten up the kitchen with a light coloured worktop then put a massive black splash guard, what genius came up with that? The toilet window from the outside looks ridiculous. The bedroom cupboards are clever but you’ll need some length of usb cable to charge anything in the wee hole next to the bed. Then there’s the big window, why? Why bring it all the way down to the table level? Anyone passing the van can see your mess. The 2 windows next to it look next to useless as they are so small. With no curtains on the front windows that whole window area looks bland & cheap. Bailey have now admitted that they cocked up with the EHU being on the near side & put springs in the seats , i for one went to great expense buying new sprung seating for my U4 as the originals where crap.

30K for a caravan and no curtains, just bits of cloth at the edges of the windows!! Very poor for Baileys top of the range caravans, penny pinching at its worst
