I wouldn't put one in Florida and many states down South because of the humidity. Here in the Central Valley of California it is required to put one in by code. Around here they work great.

What part of the country are you in. Low humidity area?

Central Valley of California close to the delta, we can have days at a hundred and then nights in the 60's, humidity around 40%.

Weather all next week will be in the upper 80's low 90's so we won't need to run the ac just the whole house fan.
