yeah jingliu story info kinda confirm that, "Impossible. The Preceptors said... The blood of my race and the soul of my ancestor should have created another high elder. All this... It shouldn't be like this." The only high elder apart from Dan Heng who is a direct reincarnation of Dan Feng is Bailu, so when Jingliu killed the dragon, it hatched a vidyahara egg and began the reincarnation process and Bailu came out.

And Jingliu for murdering countless people after the rampage of the monster they created. I dont exactly know why Jing Liu is guilty off after all she protected the people and then became infected with Mara, making her go on a rampage. But it was mostly Blade and Feng fault tbh. Maybe because she failed in killing him at that time? Idk

The phrase is obviously referring to the Quintet, and the fates they believe they should all fare. Dan Heng to suffer exile for the crimes Dan Feng committed in creating the abomination. Blade to yearn for a death he can't have because of Yingxing's contributions in creating the abomination. Jingliu to constantly be on the verge of being Mara Struck, due to an incident shortly after killing the abomination where she was overtaken by her Mara. Jing Yuan was left to pick up the pieces after the fallout, trying to take care of his four lost friends. And Bailu, while innocent, is still basically a prisoner because of what she inherited from Dan Feng and Baiheng.

Yoooo that so nice, when I 1st did the loufu stelleron quest and Dan heng’s arc, it was a hassle to try to read everything. Due to how fast, and how easily it is to just accidentally skip or start a battle, glad they fixed that.

It makes total sense if you know what the Transmutation Arcanum actually is. The Transmutation Arcanum is a secret Ritual that was used in the Elder Sucession of the Vidyadhara. Dan Heng told us so. Dan Feng tried to use this Ritual in order to revive his friend Baiheng, the draconic abomination was an indication that the ritual was a success (The old voice in Waterscape told us.) Since the Arcanum is part of the succession rituals, it stands to reason that the Arcanum had most likely a part in giving the new Elder the 'magical powers' they need to be the elder. Since we know from the Story events that Dan Heng and Bailu essentially have half the Elders powers each it stands to reason that Bailu had to be involved in the Arcanum in some way. Additionally, the Old chief Alchemist told us that Bailu is the key to the Transmutation Arcanum and spoke about how Dan Feng used the Arcanum to create the draconic monstrosity, but also new life, heavily implying that Bailu was that 'new life' he was talking about. Lastly, the same Old Chief Alchemist also explained to us that the Transmutation Arcanum is a way to "incorporate other races into the flesh of the dragon". What he meant by that is that the Arcanum is able to take non-Vidyadhara and turn them into Vidyadhara, which makes the fact that Baiheng was a Foxian meaningless. If we reconstruct what happened, it seems clear to me: Dan Feng, broken by the death of his friend, explored how they could use the Transmutation Arcanum, a tool usually used to change other people and give them the powers of the elders, into something that wouldn't give away his powers and instead revive someone. In the end, the Transmutation Arcanum both failed and succeeded in a way: They managed to resurrect Baiheng, but in a way they didn't expect, either AS the draconic monstrosity, or as an egg in addition to the monstrosity. Furthermore, Dan Feng couldn't stop the Arcanum to take some of his powers, explaining how the Vidyadhara ended up with two 'half-elders' of sorts in Dan Heng and Bailu. Dan Feng never officially gave his elder powers away after all, so it would be weird for Bailu to have some unless she had been involved with the Arcanum, which is part of the rituals for the elder succession.

No. It was already said that Dan Feng created a new life using the Transmutation. If we go about it, it is more of Baliu, in a way, is Baiheng's child. A High Elder's goal was to find a way for Vidyadhara to reproduce and break the cycle of reincarnation. None of the elders tried, or even fathom to think about what would happen if another race got involved in the process. So when he tried using the Transmutation on Baiheng, although he created a draconian beast because they also involved a remains of Emanator of Abundance, he also succeeded on inadvertedly creating a new life even if his intention was to resurrect.

I tend to disagree here, and the quotes I took directly from the game lean way more towards the videos version. Dan Feng's overarching goal for the Vidyadhara was to be able to procreate, sure, I can give you that, but that didn't matter at the time when Baiheng sacrificed herself. At that point Dan Feng was so utterly heartbroken that he could only think about resurrecting Baiheng, and that's what he tried. It was also mentioned ingame - I point to my quotes above - that it was KNOWN that the transmutation arcanum was able to incorporate other races into the 'dragon' - aka the Vidyadhara. So assuming that no elder ever thought about introducing other races to the whole elder thing is ridiculous, they had to get that knowledge from somewhere, so at some point someone from a different race was definitely part of the Transmutation Arcanum, and they most likely became a Vidyadhara and a new Elder. Plus, creating "new life" isn't mutually exclusive to 'reviving' someone. Reviving someone means you give them a "new life" as their old one had ended. Also, Baiheng was so utterly killed that only a little bit of flesh, blood and hair was left of her, if we are to believe the characters ingame, so in order to revive Baiheng, they had to create her a whole new body, which, again, could easily be interpreted as "new life" as they had to create a new, living organism essentially from scratch in order to bring Baiheng back.

Yeah, I never said that it was the reason why Dan Feng did the Transmutation in the first place, I'm saying that although reincarnation was the original goal, they never succeeded in that coz the original plan was to use the Emanator as the body. Also, I never said that a new life wouldn't be counted as a reincarnation, but instead, like I said, it was the original goal. Alas, it failed. The Transmutation Arcanum is described in a way as kinda like molting. When Bailu's assistant and the others talk to Dan Heng about Dan Feng, they always say that he always look like the way that he is. No matter how many times he Transmuted. Bailu on the other hand, felt more connection for Dan Feng, her memories also parallels more to him as it is because she houses half of his powers. The Transmutation process always transfers the memories and the powers of the High Elder to the next. I might be wrong to say that Bailu is more like the offspring as it is still not clear what exactly happened, but I still would like to think that it is very fitting that what is left after all that happened in the past are a legacy and proof that Dan Feng accomplished the goal of creating a new life and breaking the cycle of reincarnation

Baiheng died in a war against the destruction crashed her starskiff into thousands of enemies relying on her luck but it was the only time her godlike luck didnt work for her so the quintet gathered whats left of her and danfeng and yingxing(blade) attempted to resurrect her by using the molting rebirth of danfeng's kin by forcing dan fengs rebirth and fusing it with baihengs dna then it resulted into an abomination or something that jing liu had to kill over and over and eventually it turned into bailu
