I worked for the police in Australia for 15 yrs. One couple did a burglary and theft at a drs surgery (my drs actually) looking for drugs. The worst part was that they took their 2 little children with them and then called a taxi to pick them up, not very bright. I had to go and pick up my son and come back to work to look after the kids until DHS got there, poor little kids were nice but very thin. My son was the same age and played with them while we waited and he wanted them to come back to our house. I had to explain to a 4yr old why these innocent kids could not come to our house, not because of them, but because of their parents. We live in a country town and I did not want them knowing where we lived. Druggies don’t care about their kids as much as they care about their drugs. It is so sad to see.
