5 ай бұрынI LOVE Bakara. I love her so much. There's a lot of reasons I like her: Her design, her fighting style, her personality, and mannerism. But what really drew me to her was after loosing that second battle with Julith and everything going to crap she gets completely hammered and stays hammered throughout the climax. I just found that so hilarious but also kind of endearing. So why not do a highlight reel of all her drunk escapades?

The Wakfu series (at least the first two seasons) are a blend of flash and traditional animation which is insane considering it aired on tv! The Dofus movie I believe is animated by hand. It’s truly amazing how the studio has evolved. Really hoping we get another movie.

@@vicc5176 The movie has still some part animated in flash, if you search for Vincent Le Garrec "Joris" you see a segment of the movie he animated using it, having said that, you're right, the whole movie is a blend of the two, I even read that for 3rd season of Wakfu they stopped using flash, but that's just hearsay.

the movie did not work because the universe is both complex but with crazy references, names/words which are puns, quite heavy humor especially on the sexual allusions which are too present and the target is not not defined enough (for families? children?) only fans can understand the story and lore. But fans didn't support the film. So there will be no sequel.

On top of the drunken slurring, she has a slight "Ch'timi" accent (that she doesn't have when sober) which is a dialect from northern France where the animation studio is located. Let's say it's not the modt dignified french dialect, and it's usually used for comedic effect, given how unintelligible it can be even for french people.

If you like Wakfu you will want to see Dofus : aux trésors de Kerubim coz its the same universe but in era before Wakfu and I recall an special on Ogreste too (Kerubim also in the same era as Julith Book so best to see before the movie)

I'll be real, as a recovering alcoholic and someone who is prone to depression, the first minute of her just wallowing in misery kinda hit like a truck. Fucking been there bro. Thank god for rehab, Zoloft, and a sense of purpose, or I would still be there. It get's better friends, you just have to keep fighting. And even if you fail in the end, at least you went down swinging.

To be fair, it was a heavily customised version of Flash with many in-house mods and plugins that they used for almost everything, from animation to their vidéo game (at least back then), and I think they also use After Effects on top of it.

The thing I like about her character is that she is someone both has human flaws (not just the drunkeness but other stuff) while still trying to do good. Moreoever, she is also willing to see her own faults. Next to Joris, she is the heroine in the story. Sure, she messes up and her bad side gets the worst out of her, but no matter how hard her ass is kicked, she gets up and keeps trying. And more than that, she is willing to confront herself. Oh and the way she treats Joris is nothing short of admirable. She said that she's her aunt now and she MEANT it, never in the movie does she deliberately fail him, taking hits for him and doing everything in her power to protect him.

"Dofus Book 1: Julith", it's a movie. There is also a kid serie "Treasure of Kerubims", a serie that grew up with his audience "Wakfu" and many OAV like "Noximilien", "Oropo", "goultard the barbarian",... It's an expanded universe called "Krosmoz" based on the games Dofus, Wakfu and Waven.

i was able to watch this movie in full... i honestly dont understand why it didnt make more publicity or make as much as they were wanting. it was a beautiful movie and story. The characters were all great and you grew to like each and every one of them. and in the end, it was equally beautiful as it was emotional. one could say that it was a story about love and just how truly powerful of a force it is.

Very nice animation style, French animation has always had a unique style all it's own, combined with French storytelling techniques produces something that is more then just a middle ground between American and Japanese animation. It's fully is deserving of it's own monicer the same way we label Japanese Animation Anima, maybe "Le Anima", "Franima"?

I didn’t know there was more Wakfu than the three seasons on Netflix and that OVA thing where Yugo & Adamai are at odds and Dally loses his arm. A very pleasant surprise. It’s been so long since I watched it, I was like 14 when I discovered it, almost 9 years ago.

I hope we get to see Bakara in Wakfu at some point in season 4. I've always been a fan of perfectionist type characters and she comes off to me as someone who takes her studies and stuff seriously, from what little we saw of her in this movie and the novelization. But if I remember correctly, this movie takes place before Ogrest's Chaos which was an apocalyptic disaster so big it started a whole new era for the World of Twelve. The only two characters from that movie who appeared in the Wakfu show are Kerubim and Joris but one is a immortal demigod and the other was rendered effectively immortal from having a dragon inside him. Bakara is a regular human mage, so unfortunately I imagine she's not alive anymore, probably from old age.

All I got was a taste of Wakfu with what they put on Netflix back in the day. I didn't even know there was more. Last thing I watched Yugo was stuck at the same age while the plant girl grew up and became a queen.

I thought this looked familiar, like I had seen it in some kind of show. Especially when I saw the eye, and recognized the French. Lo and behold, it’s Wakfu. Oh my god. I really gotta watch the show again
