The "Baki" manga series, published in Akita Shoten's "Weekly Shonen Champion," is a mega-hit martial arts manga that has sold over 85 million copies. Baki tells the stories of various fighters, centered on the epic life-and-death clash between protagonist Baki Hanma, the youngest underground fighting champion, and his father Yujiro Hanma, the "strongest creature in the world."
The massive hit manga "KENGAN ASHURA" remains steadfast as the most popular comic among readers of the comics website Ura Sunday and the comics app MangaONE. Humble office worker Kazuo Yamashita encounters mysterious martial artist Ohma Tokita and gets wrapped up in the "Kengan" matches, in which corporations settle business disputes by betting large sums on seasoned fighters.

That's what I hate about these crossover versus stories. They don't have the b41ls to decide on a definitive winner. There's usually some interruption or draw. Though I'll give props to Godzilla vs. Kong. That film at least had a definitive winner. More crossover versus stories need to follow that example.

The animation in Baki is horrible, the combats are super static and not fluid at all, it's cringe. Kengan Ashura's CGI is impeccable and makes the combat super frenetic, fluid and exciting.

@@witush5205are you actually trippin my guy kengan ashura manga art is S tier+ along with baki but honestly i’d say kengan might take it baki is more relatable, and a lot of people don’t like cgi i personally don’t care if there’s cgi as long as it’s not trash. point is there are lots of reasons why baki is more successful and seen as the better series to a lot of people i like them both but i like baki more probably because it just has WAY more content to it itagaki has been writing it since 1991 lol kengan is less than 250 chapters chapters compared to bakis 1200+ there is much more to work with in baki

I recall there was a crossover in the manga of these 2 series when Doppo was asked by Tokugawa to participate in a Kengan match.

@@dealtanace It may have clearly been a teaser for this upcoming feature but to randomly put Doppo against someone in Kengan like the manga short did was not very well executed IMO They could have used PICKLE or even Oliva or Jack against one of the characters from Kengan. THEN ended it on a cliffhanger with someone like Baki or Ohma suddenly stumbling upon the outcome of that fight. That’s why would have been 🔥

@thechosenone93 well i think Sandro is just a huge fan of Doppo, it was a tribute short, not an actual super official crossover. And it gave us some really cool background on Saw Paing, since whenever hes mentioned they talk about how his father was a kengan legend, so pretty cool to actually see his father and see the potential Saw Paing can have. But yes I agree, it was underwhelming

@@RqbltBaki characters are probably gonna be nerfed to match the same amount of stats, so power scaling won’t matter. Not saying Kengan is a weaker verse but that Baki just has superior cases.
