90% sure this character only exists to replace the American Oliva with a Japanese character that's pretty similar. With what's been shown in the past I just dont see a way sukune would win those fight as Oliva has defeated a Kiaoh that's highly comparable to Sukune. Also is anyone else tired with this series' obsession with breaking people's hands, especially the ones that are proud of them, on other people's bodies. They've done this with FAR too many characters to name and it's the same thing every time

Coming across this, and having considered reading this, I'm happy I decided to go instead for Kengan Ashura. This felt very unbelievable with that "iron grip" more or less bypassing physics to get things, and perhaps peeking in the series three times now, it feels like a lot of these fights turn into bias for Sumo (I might be missing context of course.) It appears in the comments this character was also highly nerfed, and in a way that more or less negates his advantage instead of say out devising or making use talents against him, which feels like an author removing a character instead of just retiring. Thanks however for putting these up, thanks to AmiasD I've enjoyed the "motion manga" pieces!

Sukune does have honor for his opponents though. as stated when he fought against another sumo wrestler who disrespected him and almost killed him but he saved him by catching his head and received a punch from said sumo wrestler and he shrugs it and walks with a woman in the end.

Could you explain why 'anime final battle' channel was gone?

There is a reason certain characters dont appear in the tv series. Sukune would be outmatched by several fighters including the current Oliva. Pickle would kill everyone and I think based off that alone is why yujiro is now god like compared to the manga where he can actually be somewhat touched. I’m pretty sure current hanayama would defeat sukune as well. They did oliva super dirty in the manga. Definitely nerfed for the sake of character integrity. Glad they are being a bit more realistic in the show now.

Poor Oliva, this was a dirty L. He had no chance against this monster and he had to do his normal thing where he tried to start fights with his opponents speciality. Should’ve just went all out like his brawl with Baki.

Now...a lot of people say Oliva was “nerfed” here but...I don’t think so? Sure his ribs and organs got grabbed and yanked. But I don’t think it’s gonna cause him too much a set back. He’s gonna need a while to heal but in Baki universe, people heal from severe significant injuries and be just fine at a later date. I do think Oliva is gonna have to further increase his calorie intake. And maybe regain his muscles from being out of commission for so long. But I think he’s good. That triangle thing only applies to Sumo too. So outside of Sumo, Oliva gonna be fine in fights. Just my thoughts

You know, this could all be avoided if oliva DON'T PUNCH THE FOREHEAD. Idk maybe an upper cut, cross, hook. I get Oliva likes to dick around and pretend he’s invincible. Doing hand pocket in a thong, wrestling the God of sumo, and probably would try to sword fight Musashi with a rapier while his pinky is extended but how tf did he not lift Sukune? Why technique when into Sukune being able to resist that amount of force that requires Oliva to deadlift 1000 pounds. Sukune is around half that weight but Oliva has a very good handle of his strength and can use his entire body. He resisted a helicopter for crying out loud. Yet Sukune resisted it? It didn’t even look like he was doing anything. Like I get Oliva has no clue how to do sumo but he has enough strength that it would make sense for him to overcome it.
