One thing you'll see often in Baki are references to real life people. Just from the first 3 episodes, there are 3 clear references. Ando (big dude in this episode) is inspired by Andre the Giant The boxer Yuri Baki fought in episode 2 is inspired by Yuri Arbachakov Kaoru Hanayama (that 15 year old child that is jacked at 350lbs) is inspired by Kei Hanagata Most of the time, the names are quite similar. That's usually the giveaway. Well, you need to know the real life person to get it tho
