His character wasn't ruined. This is shonentard brainrott. His character was meant as tragic one, of a great martial artist who fell from grace by not dedicating himself to his craft, and instead relying on deception, weaponry and other tools, for he didn't have what it takes to sacrifice what is needed to master Kung Fu, despite his of prodigious talent. His character is meant to be direct contrast to Retsu and Doppo. Simple as that

Kaio Ryu en el dialogo original dise que no puede asender a kaio el tal shaoron y que solo se se le cambiara el shaoron por retzu pero no le dan el titulo de kioh porque para ser kaioh no es por la dedicasion si no por las avilidades limitadas y luego que retzu dijera pero porque señor kaio ryu dise ....Fue su recomendacion y atras de kaio ryu estaba ese tal Dorian pero moreno y con un peinado paresido a owen willson de la pemicula 3 son multitud jajajj ese Dorian un cage de risa ×D pero cuando descarge los otros capitulos asu los dialogos los cambio un pendejo chesu y no desian los dialogos originales X(
