Hello and welcome to BakieGaming.
In this Bakies The Sims 4 Custom Content Series, I will show you everything I made for the Sims 4.
I will show you where to find it in game and give some tips and tricks on how to use them.
- Animated - Mysterious Polaroid - Aurora -
With the Eco Lifestyle Expansion Pack, Auroras became part of our Sims worlds.
For this mod though, you only need the Base Game and you can decide for yourself where you want them to appear. This can even be on vacation- or hidden lots if you want!

I've been on a downloading spree of all your CC today... so many amazing details that are missing in base game. In Sims 3 we could add spawners to the world, but not in 4... this really helps fix that feeling of emptiness!! All of your mods are so detailed and beautiful! THANK YOU, BAKIE!!

Well, that's exactly what I try to do! There're so much vfx in game, but some of them are only visible on certain places or at certain times. They can add so much to our own lots too. Being able to make the VFX base game compatible is an extra plus of course. Happy to read you like my content! :)

🚨IMPORTANT INFO 🚨, The object can now be found in the Pond VFX section in build mode and is placeable on ponds too. I've also added invisible search tags, this way the item can now also be found by typing Bakie, Polaroid, Aurora or Borealis into the search bar. 🚨Placing this object outside of lots was already a thing when the polaroid was in your Sim's inventory. It wasn't possible though to place it from your Sims inventory onto the ocean's water surface. This option has now been added, so an aurora could also appear above the islands and ocean of Sulani for example. To make this happen, add the mysterioud polaroid to your lot, place it into your Sim's inventory (by clicking on it), swim or ride to the open sea and place it from your Sim's inventory on the ocean water surface by selecting the 'place into world' interaction. Wait until it's dark and enjoy a beautiful aurora in the night sky!

Thanks Melisa! Changing effects is possible at the moment but the tool for it is in Alpha fase and I haven't played with it that much. So a red colored kind of aurora is possible probably, but I don't know exactly how yet. ;)

Thanks Evangelina! As for the question, I haven't tested them all, but if you find some that don't work, you can always let me know. As for all mods with effects attached to them, I don't think there won't be problems. :)

Does your game happen to be in another season then summer? As that is most of the time the problem with animals not appearing. Some of them only appear in certain seasons. You might want to test it out by using Seasons weather machine and switching to a clear day in summer.

I think sun rays will be possible, but I'm not sure about the acid rain. I have lots of ideas though, not only eco lifestyle related, so not sure if or when I will make such mod. ;)

hi for some reason when i try to place polaroid it says stricpt call fail, does polaroid conflict with any mods or does it need some game pack, other content made by you i have downloaded works fine

Hello Tara, this mod should work without any other packs installed. I've just tested it in my game and it worked without any problems. So I have no idea why it gets the script call error in your case unfortunately. I haven't recieved any other reports of it either recently..
