Hello and welcome to BakieGaming.
In this Bakies The Sims 4 Custom Content Series, I will show you everything I made for the Sims 4.
I will show you where to find it in game and give some tips and tricks on how to use them.
- Animated - Placeable Fish - Pack 1 -
Something my oceans and aquariums were still missing, were some small fish to add more life to these areas. Though you can also use them in your ponds of course.
So that's why I proudly present to you, my first Animated Placeable Fish Pack!

🚨IMPORTANT INFO 🚨 I've made a new 🐠🐟ULTIMATE FISH PACK🐟🐠, containing 53 fish species including the one from this pack. As for the 25 Base Game fish, you now only need the Base Game for them to work in game. For the other fish from additional packs, you need to have those packs. @bbskytear Did you downloaded the new pack with 53 fish species, if so, be sure that you're not playing in laptop mode and have at least your graphical settings on medium. Other then that, I don't know why it won't work to be honest.

I built a "natural" looking pool for my sims a few months back with plants, rocks and small decorations, all that was missing were the fish to make it more realistic - THANK YOU so much - this works perfectly!!!! :D :D :D :D :D

@@barbiesims Just saw your build! Looks very nice! Be aware that the sea turtles will swim quite a distance, so they might swim right through the walls. I also thought that you can use the water tool (pond tool) to add water in between walls, so maybe that will work for the half walls. :)

🚨IMPORTANT INFO 🚨, All fish have been updated and can now be found in the Pond VFX section in build mode. Older important news: You will need the Get Famous Expansion Pack for all of these fish to work in your game.

@@catsarelife1399 Are you using laptop mode maybe? Or low or medium graphical settings? As that might some vfx to not appear either. I don't think time of day or season have any influence on fish vfx..

Hello everybody, I've finally discovered why the interaction menu isn't working for everyone. I used a bit of tuning from an object that came with the Get Famous Expansion Pack. I thought it wouldn't give any trouble for the working of the interaction menu, but it does. There's no other way right now what I can think of to make it base game compatible though. So every future mod using this kind of interaction menu with effects attached to it, will be marked as "Get Famous Ep Required". I'm sorry for the trouble! :)

This is absolutely amazing, I just was wondering how exactly you are able to place all these rocks and fish not in a lot? And is it possible to build small islands in the middle of Sulani’s oceans

Thanks Xeris! Actually, these all are placed inside of a lot in Sulani with a lot of water/ocean. It's one of those beach lots. There's a mod though that let you place objects outside of the building-lots. It's called T.O.O.L. and you can find it here: www.patreon.com/posts/t-o-o-l-public-28887948 I haven't used it in this particular video though. I barely use it at all to be honest. :)

Hi Stephanie, I've heard this problem from a few people more, but I'm unsure why this isn't working. I know that also other mods I made with floor decals and effects, didn't work for some of those people either. Like the animated butterflies and the animated squirrel. Can you confirm this?

I couldn't get the fish to work, but the ducks and sea turtles work. I have them swimmimg in my Sim's swimming pool lol!

For the fish you need the Get Famous Expansion Pack. I didn't know back then, but I used some code from that pack to make the option menu work. Good to hear the others do work in your game. ;)

I will! I will do all available fish in the game, but as the Island Living fish are the last one in those list, it will probably take some time before I release a pack which contains those too.😉

Okay, so I have the fish placed and the interaction menu comes up but the fish don't spawn?

There are a few things possible why certain vfx don't appear. First of all your graphical settings, most of the time they need to be set to medium or high. Also if laptop mode is enabled, some vfx like the fish might not appear. Disabling will probably make them visible, but might slows down your game too (As that's probably the reason laptop mode is enabled in the first place). Besides that, your game has to be up-to-date, but in most cases it is as otherwise you can't play at all. And for certain vfx the season in which you're playing can make for example butterflies to disappear when it's winter. As far as I know, the fish will be visible in every season though. Hope this helps you to make them visible or makes you to understand why they might don't. ;)

Hello, I also got another message about this (or maybe you're the same person ;) ). But when I try myself (though I'm on a Windows pc) it does work without any problems. What you can try is downloading them by visiting ModTheSims.info as I upload almost all my mods on this website too. To simply find my profile, go to the search tab and search for "Bakie" in the members section. :)

Hey! Thanks for this mode! This is what I ve searched for! But , Is there any tip to make fish a little bit up above the bottom ( what I mean is that the combination shift+9 or 0 doesn’t work here) . So I can make fishes to be a little bit higher above the reef

You're welcome. Be sure that "testingcheats true" and "bb.moveobjects on" have been activated. If you did, have you also tried Ctrl+9/Ctrl+0? or if you're on a mac Command instead Ctrl. In my case it's just 9 and 0.

I tried adding this to my game but i cant seem to get the content to appear. Nothing comes up when i search and it doesn't show in my active mods list? What is the best way to install this? Edit: i have get famous installed too.

It shouldn't be more difficult then putting the package files into your mods folder. Be sure to extract/unzip the zipped file first. ;)

I thought that right now there're like 50 different fish species in game, so there're a lot more fish I can make placeable. Unfortunately I've got a lot of mods I can either expand like this one or new ones I can make, but there seems to be not enough time in a day/week/month/year(/life) for me to make them all. So as for the treefish and luna fish, I guess I will make new packs for this specific mod and those two will be part of those packs too. Only problem, I don't know exactly when I will make these packs. But they're on my far-too-long to-do list. ;)

@@bakiegaming Well, it's not like I'm not coming back to Sims 4 back and forth forever and I have several of your mods already favorited, so take your time! I can wait. But yeah, I love your mods. So far I've downloaded the animated water stream, the unlockable walkable swamp tree, and both the floor and wallpaper versions of your night sky animated wallpaper. Truly gorgeous and much appreciated.

@@taislanydasilvagomes3077 Something I didn't know back then, but I do know now and what I've mentioned in the sticky post, is that you'll need to have the Get Famous Expansion pack for this mod to work. For most people where it doesn't work, it's that they don't own that pack. Might be your problem too I guess? ;)

I place down the sticker thing, and when i hover over it nothing comes up. I place it down and just the stickers appears, no fish or nothing ...

Do you have the Get Famous Expansion pack? Otherwise this mod won't work in your game. You also need to have your graphical settings on at least medium, better if it's high and you must not be playing in laptop mode as most of the time this disables vfx to be shown too. Any of these things that may cause your problem?

Ich liebe dieses Fisch Pack, ich hab die Fische sehr gerne für einen Poolteich benutzt😄 Aber durch irgendein Update kann ich die Fische niergendwo mehr finden, das selbe mit den Enten , vielleicht brauchen die Mods ein neues Update😅 Oder jemand weiß wo ich schauen muss und ich es vielleicht übersehen hab, die waren sonst immer beim Teich/Pool Zubehör zu finden😅

I'm working on updating all my pond related mods. And I'm now working on the Fish pack. ;) Expect an update for these some where this week. I hope to be able to update all the rest as fast as possible too, but I got lots of mods to update with these new categories. ;)

Hi! Can you , please, update CC for the latest version of the Sims 4 (1.93.146.1020). My game doesn’t see this mod when I open the pool deco or enter animated fish😢 All settings are okey

Hello Мария Желобецкая, If you download the 1.84 version (the one from the video description) it should work fine. Be aware that the place where the fish can be found has changed since the pond tool update. They can now be found by going to the Pond's VFX section. Also when I use the "Animated Fish" search tag, I can still find them without any problems. ;)

Now all works fine👍🏻… sooo I need your advice ahaha :)) Is it possible for me (as a complete newbie) to make fish pack 2 by myself using only sims studio, using your tutorials maybe? Or it is too difficult. Just got this idea two days ago, but I would not like to waste time if it is too tricky and would rather wait for yours cc pack someday. What do you think?

@@user-oo3lk7pq2f As a complete newbie, making a fish pack 2 will be a bit difficult I guess as I'm having trouble with making one too possibly (Especially after such a long time). I also don't have tutorials on how to make such mods at the moment. I'm almost finished with my next mod pack, and maybe after a few smaller mods, I can make a second fish pack again. ;)

Why it doesn’t work in my Sim game?

Hi Alice, there can be a couple of reasons why effects like these won't work. First of all, do you have the Get Famous Expansion pack installed? I didn't mentioned this in the video as I didn't knew back then, but I mentioned in a sticky comment that this expansion pack is needed for the effects and/or interactions to work. If you do have the pack, then try different lots in game. Some of them won't allow effects or certain effects to be shown for some reason. Another reason for effects not showing can be that your game is not fully up-to-date or your graphical settings are set to low instead of medium or high. Then the weather, time of day or season your Sims are living in at that moment can be a reason for effects not showing. Try a a clear summer day at 11am, most effects should work then. Finally laptop mode can be a problem for some of the effects. Try switching it off. Hope these tips will help you getting the effects to work or to understand why they don't work in your case. ;)

That's strange. Haven't heard about that from others yet. You don't see an interaction icon either when you hover over the floor decals in live mode? And the 3 fish don't spawn automatically either then? Also be sure that your game is fully up-to-date as it needs codes from the latest patch probably too.

That can be a reason indeed! Effects sometimes don't play at all because of that. Also graphical settings on low instead of medium or high can be an issue with these kind of mods. You can try going out of laptop mode and probably it will work, but your game might get a bit laggy because of it..

I've always thought a fishy expac would be a good idea. Your items prove it can be done. Shame EA has no imagination. Anyway, I got my cat a batfish. I got my puppy a guppy. I got myself an angelfish as I'm devilish. By the way, the cat and the puppy say hi. Not literally. Obviously. >.< That is all. =P
