I feel you on the no swearing as a kid. Even 'fart' was a bad word (we said 'toot'). The first time I said 'shit' was when I was a junior in high school! I was on stage in acting class... and it was soooooo obvious that I had never said it before. My teacher made me do that monologue over and over and over again... until it sounded natural. It was mortifying! Of course I swear like a sailor now.

Yeah, my mom grew up in a house where everyone swore in anger, so she never swore around me. And I started working in childcare around 13 or 14 and got used to clean talking for work. I don't think I started swearing until I was 17 or so, with friends. Swear like a sailor now as well because it's just for fun for me.

I’m super allergic too but we already had 4 when I found out. I also have asthma. We had another THREE come into our garden and never leave so now we have 7 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️ super worth it tho, we just try to clean more and have a room I can go to without any cat hair so that helps too

I got so lucky with my allergies. I never had cats as a kid because my parents were against it. They're dog people. I adopted a cat this year and figured out that I was allergic that night but there was no way that I was taking Luca back. I started taking Claritin reditabs and stopped after a while. I have flare-ups every once in a while but for the most part I can love my cat allergy free! It's weird how some people can adapt and some people can't.
