Being an only child without any family remaining, I have to say that the first 7 minutes are what I really miss in my life. So thank you for allowing us (me) to live those moments vicariously through your videos!

I am in my 80s now and this is what I miss-the generations getting together, the cooking, the sampling, the joking, the laughing. These are the memories that keep us warm when we get old. ❤️

Her recipes look like mine....lots of years of love. Your baking together brings back memories. My mom, my sister, my very young niece & I use to get together & make Christmas cookies, all in one day & then divide them. We did that for years. My niece is now 42 yrs old & it's been a few yrs since we've attempted that. My mom is 98, I'm 75, my sister 60 & niece 42. Lots of yrs have passed but the memories are still there for all of us. Thanks for helping to bring back those memories.

I love your handwritten recipes! Every year when I pull the recipe box out, there's the handwriting of many loved women who influenced my life, and their presence is in my kitchen with me.

So grateful that you share your loving family with us. This was the perfect start to Thanksgiving week! ❣

My mom was a fantastic cook and Baker. She had multiple recipe boxes filled with her recipe cards written in her terrible teeny scribble all up, down and around the cards. During the year after she died, i pulled out my and my sisters favorite 'mom' recipes. I typed them up but also copied the original stained, scribbled cards. Put those chosen recipes together and bound them with inexpensive spiral (one page with original and facing page with typed version). At her memorial service a year later, I put those bound slim recipe books out for my mom's relatives and friends who had come. It turned out to be a wonderful warm memory and conversation starter of great stories. My sisters and I still use that recipe book and often prefer to look at the pages with the original cards on it. Happy memories.

Thank you for showing me the possibility of family and the joy it can bring. I have always wished for a family that at least gets along whenever they get together. Now that I'm older I know that will never be possible. Gatherings are always a chore, disputes always arise, and old grievances are always brought up. The holidays are a sad and depressing time for those of us who are never able to come together in peace with our family. Although it will never be possible for my family to unite in a way that is healthy and happy, I want to thank you for showing me that such a thing exists. My first instinct when Laura said “this is the treat table” was to wonder how all those delicious treats were going to fit on that table! But then I remember Laura’s gift for packing planters to the brim and now im not concerned at all! 😅 ❤️ 🍪 🌹

The best Christmas present my kids said they ever received from me was a binder I put together with all the favorite family recipes! I made notes on each one as to whose favorite it was and where the recipe came from. I also wrote a personal note inside each binder, reminding each child what they loved to eat growing up. The gift itself cost very little, but the time and and effort and joy I got from putting it together was priceless! My adult kids are now enjoying making memories with their own children in their kitchens…makes my heart feel good! Your arrangement and the snack table looks absolutely beautiful! Well done ladies! That was a lot of hard work, and I know the customers at Andrews just loved them!!

Laura, you can send your Kitchenaid back to the factory, and they will fix it, and make it run like new for you. I send mine in (circa 1960's) every 10 years for them to go over, and make sure it stays in it's prime condition. It's not very expensive, considering new prices to replace them.

This video reminded me of the open house that my wife and I had every Christmas. She generally made about 200 dozen cookies to serve at the open house and then to give as gifts as people left. I remember taking the wrappers off of hundreds of chocolate kisses for the Peanut Butter Blossoms. This video got me ready for Christmas.

Oh the memories you stirred in me. My momma used to bake the peanut butter blossom cookies every year for Christmas. An the divinity she made was so delicious. I also remember her trying to make pie crust but while my great grandmother was alive she'd push mom aside and take over. She did make the best pies. there have been some pumpkin recipes failures here in Canada because the ED Smith cans have been changed and now one of the top 3 ingredients is water (replacing oil) so know they are super watery and they didn't let consumers know, the only way you know is to look at the ingredients list! i know this sounds crazy but my cheesecake didn't bake and i don't want it to happen to anyone else!

I would be lining my pretzels up, just like Monica! I'm 72, but the youngest, too! 🤣 As a retired florist I think on-site designing is far easier than transporting and needing to redesign to align the best visual angle 👍 Suggestion: You ironed the tablecloth and the tea towels. If you laid a few drop clothes down so you have an easier clean up and no stains to worry about. I learned that while setting up a BIG Black Tie affair with white clothes with Berries in each arrangement. Just a thought. Your arrangement and table turned out perfect 👍👩‍🌾👍

Nothing more precious than handwritten recipes! Laminate them so they are preserved longer. (Maybe run copies, too, and laminate for each family.) It has worked well for my go to recipes. The arrangement and family baking was a special treat.
