In this special episode titled "Bakra Qiston Pe Funny Drama," we dive into the comical and vibrant world of livestock trading where the customer (Gahak) and the trader (Beopari) engage in amusing dialogues and negotiations.
In our video, we focus on a unique and entertaining aspect of these markets - the concept of buying goats on installments (Qiston Pe). This scenario often leads to hilarious situations as the buyer and seller haggle over prices, payment terms, and other details. Join us as we explore this funny drama and bring you a taste of the lively spirit of Maweshi Mandi 2024 in Vehari, Pakistan.
The Main Characters
Gahak (The Buyer): Our buyer is a witty and sharp-tongued character who knows the ins and outs of bargaining. He's looking for the best deal and is not afraid to haggle hard to get it. His main aim is to buy a goat on installments, and he's prepared with a list of arguments to convince the seller.
Beopari (The Trader): The trader is an equally cunning and experienced character who has seen all sorts of buyers. He's well-versed in the art of negotiation and knows how to handle tough customers. He has a sense of humor and enjoys the banter as much as he enjoys making a good sale.
The Drama Unfolds
The video begins with our Gahak entering the market, looking around at the various goats on display. He finally approaches the Beopari's stall, eyeing a particularly handsome goat. The following dialogue ensues:
Gahak: "Salam Beopari sahib! Yeh bakra kitne ka hai?"
Beopari: "Walikum Salam, bhai! Yeh bakra sirf 50,000 rupees ka hai. Dekho kitna sehatmand aur pyara hai."
Gahak: "50,000! Aray bhai, yeh toh bohot mehnga hai. Main isay qiston pe lena chahta hoon."
Beopari: (chuckling) "Qiston pe? Bhai jaan, bakra hai, mobile phone nahin. Phir bhi batao, kya qist karoge?"
Gahak: "Dekho, main imandari se har mahine 5,000 rupees de sakta hoon. Tumhare paas guarantee hai meri."
Beopari: (laughing) "Imandari aur guarantee! Bhai, tum toh bohot zabardast ho. Par chalo, 5,000 qist mein thoda mushkil hai. Tum mujhe 10,000 advance de do aur phir hum har mahine 5,000 pe rakhte hain."
Gahak: "10,000 advance! Aray bhai, agar 10,000 mere paas hotay toh main seedha 20,000 de kar baaki mahine bhar mein de deta. Yeh 5,000 ka kissa zaroori hai."
The practice of buying livestock on installments, though not very common, highlights the innovative and adaptive nature of Pakistani culture. It shows how traditional practices can blend with modern financial strategies to make it easier for people to afford livestock for significant events like Eid-ul-Adha.

In the Pakistani context, humor is a critical aspect of social interactions, especially in marketplaces. The friendly banter between buyers and sellers not only lightens the mood but also strengthens social bonds. This video captures that essence beautifully, providing viewers with a glimpse into the everyday humor and wit that permeates Pakistani culture.
The Significance of Eid-ul-Adha
Eid-ul-Adha, also known as the Festival of Sacrifice, is one of the most important Islamic holidays. It commemorates the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God. However, God provided a ram to sacrifice instead. To honor this event, Muslims around the world sacrifice animals such as goats, sheep, cows, and camels.
The sacrificed animal is divided into three parts: one part for the family, one part for relatives and friends, and one part for the less fortunate. This act of sharing and charity is a cornerstone of the festival, emphasizing community and compassion.
In Pakistan, the preparations for Eid-ul-Adha begin well in advance. Maweshi Mandi is a crucial part of these preparations, where families come together to select their sacrificial animals. The markets are not just places of commerce but also social hubs where people meet, exchange stories, and celebrate their cultural heritage.
