This arc is such an atrocious mess that I'm not surprised they had to end it here. I mean, a lot of weird shit happens and they just want you to roll with it. From Coredegon becoming a Gunz clone, complete with a special suit and the ability to teleport to Wiseman and the nonets hiding in an island that conveniently has secret doors and weird magic vines that absorb memories or whatever.

@Graham Greer you guys need to get over that! The creators confirmed that Dan and Runo stopped going out after New Vestroia because of his move to Bayview which makes sense in all honesty especially since this is the first time he's seeing her since then.

They are dating or not, the writers also confirmed that they still love each other. Like Dan recognizes Runo's voice unconsciously or when Drago tells Runo that Dan really cares about her and then he blushes, also supporting Dan and always be his side. Some scenes were not shown in the dubbed version. Like before the final battel Dan told Runo that he wants to taste her curry rice when he comes back and so Runo stays behind, cooks curry and when Dan and others were returning Dan mentioned of tasting curry today. It's also surprising that Runo is not worried that Dan is late in his party. Maybe she is confirmed that wherever he is, he will eventually come back to her because they have a connection of soul.

This season took bakugan and threw it out the window. It isn't even bakugan battles anymore, just battle suits and mechtagons. Also, they just completely void out the fact that time freezes on earth when bakugan aren't in ball form. This is not even bakugan anymore.
