I just got into these guys like 2-3 years ago. Was really bummed to see they were already broken up for a bit by that point. Now can’t express how glad I am they’re back. Really got me through some tough times especially during the pandemic.

I think this song is reckoning with the feelings of losing someone unexpectedly and quickly. Feeling helpless like there is nothing you can do. Looking back and wishing you had more to remember them by. Wishing there was closure but that person is not able to give it to you but you won’t burden them with your emotions. The person in the paper bag is the person who you’re at risk of losing. They wear a mask anonymously because that is the future you will have without them. No more chances for smiles or memories, certainly not another photograph to remember them by. You’re going to send them off to a place where no one comes back from. Make peace of the uncertainty

Glad you see y’all are back after becoming fans of yours last year. Had a lot of experience with this concept. It was dangerous, I don’t regret being there for people I’ve cared for, but I threw away a lot of my life and ambition to keep them from drowning from things out of my control. I hope they found their own way out of their struggles, but I can’t keep thinking I can save everyone I know just because I want them to have a happier ending, it’s up to them to find it.

This makes me so happy.

I met the lead singer Jon Simmons at one of his concerts, so glad he shook my hand, and it was a great experience. Anyway, it's good to see them put out more music, despite disbanding a few years back
