(NOTE: The "guide" part of the video is sorta outdated now that much more content and game play has been added. I still think the background info, the main part of the video, is still an important and relevant part though)
Balanced Craftwars is a game originally developed by Eaterials, with other people like Rod and Calex coming in later and making the game public. It is based on the original Craftwars, however it shares many traits with Runeworld and the hypothetical CW1 V2 (watch cratwars revisit if you haven't). At it's current stage, it is the biggest Craftwars based game created so far, managing to surpass Destined Ascension's top player count of over a thousand back in 2018-2019.

Haven't played much of it but man those bosses look incredible! I'd play more but I'm not as motivated to grind endlessly in games as I used to be.

Can relate, I've been trying with this game to get to end game level but it's difficult when you don't have the time and energy to sit there for hours biome swapping just for a few resources. It is a fun game but a massive headache when rng is garbage.

@ScOpErzX 23 Original Craftwars has gone to the point that it became Rex waiting simulator. That is a huge flaw in every craftwars game I dont think we can fix in balanced craftwars

Great video, it’s nice to see a proper video on this game for once. Although I do believe that balanced craftwars overhaul is the best craftwars game to date, I understand your point about loyalty to the original series. I feel as though BCW:R gives an experience like no other craftwars fangame has done so far, a unique, fun and entertaining o one. Keep up the great work, looking forward to seeing you grow :)

Can agree the game is fun at 1st but it’s gameplay loop is soul crushing after killing the final boss for balanced craft-wars. Especially because how how luck based the game is even though it gave a warning. The Models are some of best boss models and the map is decent but places like stronghold of the equinox looks amazing with the small details in the back to fit the theme of dark and light. All they should do is just make the game less luck based once it comes to finishing or a revamp and maybe make it more story based so the grind isn’t for nothing but doing it again.

I used to play this game a lot but after the uh, class/accessory update (whatever its officially called) i had to quit. I had just gotten equinox tier and fang of gilgamesh and seeing it be reduced to previously midgame damage levels and be forced to start again with new accessories pretty much ended any will to grind the game i had. I also had a fair amount of other issues with the game at that point but this was the nail in the coffin for me. Now don't get me wrong, I can still definitely respect how clean the game is and I definitely still think its worth trying if one hasn't played it yet, but I personally just can't do it anymore. I will retry the game once it's fully completed, however.

do you mean the accessory nerf? i feel like it was completely balanced, it just made it so you cant one shot gilgamesh and other bosses anymore, the game is still pretty easy, i dont get why people quit over balancing.

@@spade66 Because you had to regrind like hell just to be able to get back to where you were. I had fang of gilgamesh and equinox crossbow and could no longer solo even Atlas, or at least not in a reasonable timespan. That's stupid no matter what way you slice it. If they wanted to incorporate class based progression like that it should have been incorporated from the start, or PLANNED for. Instead it was extremely dickishly patched in halfway through the game's life cycle.

Also, don’t forget that Exotic Craftwars closed by the community toxicity, it was successful but unfairly closed forever, Mason aka 7u5a, creator of Crimson CW, has another game thay looks like Exotic, Void Craftwars, which is being developed lazily, game is rarely updated, but soon it will often, along BCW, Meta Developer, the creator of the group, can’t work cuz he’s busy irl, and has a lot of things to do

This game is not great it is masterpiece I mean it is adventure of you that get stuck in the island and you need to craft something to keep alive and it is really good adventure you lose you win you don't have chance to win you died like 20 time to kill one boss go to dungeon and beat it,it is the best RPG game in my life

What I like the game is that the game is based on knowledge of this game and luck no lvl requirements whatsoever, and also what shock me is that on glacies boss fight... I DIDN'T KNOW U CAN SPARE EM WITH THE DA FLOWER MAH GAWD I LOVE THAT I want more of that kind of game truly 10/10

I truly think that this is a fresh start for the original Craftwars. I remember playing Craftwars for so long that overtime i saw it’s decline. And i notice how popular this particular one was getting (BCW). Yeah much better and so much improvement. Love it. Overtime the game will grow eventually. Looking forward to see more unique updates.

As someone who's also played og craftwars for like 6 years seeing this game is a nice change. My only complaint is the heavy rng with biomes and resources from those biomes but I'm no stranger to garbage rng so yeah.

@@shoobzy3431 i literally just need 2 void orbs to craft Eldritch Slicer. HOWEVER, void biom feels rarer than Angelic biom. I have 21 Angelic orbs like both bioms have the same rarity smh...bcw rigged lol

@@Jocelyn-bi1kf Bro in nowhere near edlritch/seraph tier lol. I've been playing for like a week and only have titanstone gear because I've been getting so unlucky with pvc. I keep getting hvuh instead and even then I get nothing. I find it annoying that the mobs attack each other cuz it gives you less chances to get resources.

@@shoobzy3431 I have the seraph bow and the shield. Those were a breeze I have so many corrupt essence, heavenly essence, etc. Killing Benedictus is a guarantee drop and you just need 1 blinding light orb. Then craft 2 almighty orbs of light, (2 blinding light orbs in total for a seraph tier). The moonstones are easy to find in beneath just be patient. Eldritch tier is a pain in the ass. You need 3 void orbs per weapon, void scythe and the sword. Also the Slicer requires 2 Almighty orb of darkness. And you basically need 6 void orbs in total for those orbs. And those drops aren't guaranteed.

though, to be honest it's quite literally the same as prevous craftwars you pretty much do nothing else rather than pray to rng jesus you would get the biome you want to progress otherwise your fucked up and you are soft locked for a long time if your luck is shit

Craftwars veteran here I played the game 2020 to 2021 when it only had 50 max players and I could say the game is getting the love it deserved I still play it time to time to bring nostalgia this game has been the what I needed in this hard times

Not overpowered as he was very easy to avoid and just took time. Someone playing for a week could beat him. Apparently, it had a 3 life limit i didnt know of. I reset TWICE just to fix some weapons before fighting it, so on my 3rd death that was impossible to recover from since it sent me outside the map sent me to the losing area. And what else am i going to do if i lose? Losing sucks and i WILL cry about it because i just wasted my time and would have won if i knew i wasnt supposed to reset.

@@landonthielen7017 you know that fiscus dropped only eggs it didnt have a life limit it gave you a debuff that lasted 10 seconds if you died druing these 10 seconds you will get sent to original balanced craftwars the fact that you even died to him is funny since he is slow as hell

my personal opinion, this game is TOO HARD to understand, that's a bad point legit finishing the game could be impossible without help, that's a bad point cringy furries, that's cringe most items are not worth the price, that's unfair is sligtly better than craftwars (p2w wars) but don't think is the bets of it's kind
