800-year-old Pueblo Indian (Anasazi) ruins. Mesa Verde National Park. A wonderful and well-presented tour of these ruins!

Most people would much rather hear the ranger's commentary than the music.

There were a lot of people, and the microphone on my camera was not that good. Sorry!

We have done this tour 3 or 4 times over 20 years, and this video is a good portrayal of the climb. Great fun, one of the highlight tours in the entire NPS system.

Thank you! Yes, it was an absolutely wonderful tour! I suspect you might enjoy another hike I took in Natural Bridges National Monument, kzfaq.info/get/bejne/Zpahotanqs6VY4E.html , even though there were no ruins, and I didn't encounter a single person on the trail. It DID, however have a couple of similar ladders. I would like to film it again someday, using a much steadier 360 degree camera. It wasn't as scary as it looks on the video!

I'm scared of heights si i wanted a preview to see it I thought I could manage this. Honestly I was ok with it, until I got to those carved stone steps with just that little rail. I thought that might be tough but I could probably manage. But that last ladder way up above that sheer rock face and the ladder so close to vertical that it looks like if you fell off the ladder you'd go tumbling down the cliff, I don't know. It scared me just watching the video. I might take a pass on this one Thanks very much for posting this. I still have goosebumps.

Hi there! If I were you, I would just do it. There must have been about 40 people in our group, and they all got up. Also, If you lose your nerve, the path back the way you came is fine. The ladder is not straight up, it tips towards the cliff. My 360 camera probably made it look worse than it really was. It was also absolutely the highlight of the trip. The rest of the path was easy. I was over 70.

Wow! you's done a good job showing all the climbs that is done on this tour. The other videos didn't show that. I realize this video is 6 years old. I wonder if it has changed now. I plan to travel late September and Mesa Verde is in the itinerary.

It was a wonderful tour! I can't imagine any other way the tourists can get down to the ruins, so they probably still have the ladders! Have fun!

When I went here a guy leaned up against that wall and the ranger made a point to let everyone know, "How Brave" he was to lean up against a wall that was 800 years old.

That was a wonderful tour. The ranger gave a really interesting talk, but of course, the tiny camera on my head couldn't pick it up, so I had to put music in the background. At least I didn't smash the camera.

Thank you! My sister played the music for me. The sound from the camera 4 years ago was pretty bad.

That was a wonderful tour of the ruins. I assume they have been running the trip for years. It must have gone well so far, or they would have stopped doing it. I loved it!

Gracias! It was a wonderful tour! Climbing ladders and crawling through tunnels made it much more exciting than just walking down a trail.

did everyone in your tour make it through the tunnel? I'm worried i wont make it through becaus I'm obese
@suenord1 Жыл бұрын
There were about 40 people in my group. Nobody had any problems. You will have to go down on hands and knees a short distance. Anybody who wants to can retreat back the way they came. I don't really think you will have any problem with the "tunnel". It is mostly just big rocks tipped towards each other.
