Yea, u must remove cushion matress only. No problem for that grass carpet even in rainy & sunny seasons. If u want u can roll the carpet & keep aside in rainy season. I keep on changing balcony seating setups according to seasons. Now I removed that seating matress, I have arranged a swing. Its up to us, how we like according weather conditions.

I used different exterior wall paints like Dark Pink, Purple, Yellow, Light Green, Bright Blue & Beige colors. Exterior wall paints can sustain heat (sun) & Rain.
