Im getting into the barber world for a little hobby. Ive been looking at tons of videos to see how to do fades and the steps. I like your video a lot you went slow and showed how and where do use the guards. But the only thing that I did not like was the focusing on the guards. I really wish I could have seen the numbers to help me out. But overall good video !

Question: The second razor you used (Excel 2-Speed) what is its importance? Its that your personal choice or is it essential for bald fades?

***** Thank you, man! I really want to learn how to do bald fades. I plan on investing in a whole clipping set later this year. The ones I'm interested in was the Andi's Master, Whal Icon and Andi's Superliner Trimmers. Any suggestions on top clippers that still work great and strong after years use? and what is your opinion on blade modifiers?

great, wanted to ask what machine your using and what do you think of the wahl 5 star icon, and what blade do you have on your machine thanks

I used the wahl legends with the "crunch" blade. it's not quite zero gapped but close..and I have never used the 5 star icon but I personally believe that wahl makes good, dependable products. I also have the wahl seniors and I used the wahl detailer to do the lineup in this video. hope that answered your question..

+Thomas White Thanks, my problem is they dont sell Wahl legends in the UK, so i need to find an alternative. what other machines could you compare this too and also you need to upload more skin fade videos.

+Junaid Malik I think that the Wahl legends are similar to the senior and icon..either clipper or similar clipper should do the job. in my opinion, a good haircut is 40% the clipper and 60% the person using the clipper..and I know it's been a minute since I uploaded a video..I'm gonna try and upload another video asap..thanks for the patience and support

well honestly, I didn't necessarily need to use that clipper..i just used the 1 1/2 detachable blade with that clipper..

Damn thats a fresh ass fade! Video is a gem amongst the many I looked at for bald fades, kudos. What was the guard you used at 7:40, 8:42, 13:08, 13:56? I want to give it a go on my son.

+Chris Soriano Glad this tutorial was helpful to you! at 7:40 I used the #1/2 guard (1/16). At 8:42 I used the #1-1/2 guard ( 3/16). At 13:08 I used the #1 guard (1/8). At 13:56 I used the #1-1/2 again. When fading, after completing one side, repeat the same steps to the rest of the head. When I upload my next video, I'm going to talk through the steps so hopefully it will be easier to follow what I am doing. Thanks for the feedback!

so a 0, is that the same as taking the guard off? I just bought some wahl clippers and I have detailers I've done 2 okay fades for my first attempts but I have no 0 or no 1 1/2 guard

Nice cut but just my opinion it's time consuming I didn't understand why did you use your andis for that length when you could of used you 1 1/2 guard but overall it's a nice clean fade

I know this was done in 2015, but it was a fail as soon as us viewers did not " hear" instructions... rather you pointed things out leaving room for miss-interpretation.

Apparently Nothing ur fades look great. I just figured it would make the cuts easier for u. Masters and fastfeeds cut a Lil better in my opinion. Give it a try bro, and ull see what I mean.
