Fading Steps
- Set in guideline with lever closed
- Lever open set in next guideline
- 1 guard lever open next guideline
- 1.5, 2 guard blend up
- Blend second guideline w/ .5 guard open to 3 qtr
- Continue blending second guideline w/ 1 guard 3qtr
- Blend first guideline w zero, lever closed
- Open lever half way, continue blending
- Continue blending with lever open
- Do any touch up work
- Use trimmers to take out bottom hair
- Use electric shaver
- Do any line up with trimmers
- Shave with straight razor

Hi. I like this video mostly. When I'm trying to see the change being made to the clipper it would help if the DIRECTION the lever is moving in was shown with a green UP or DOWN arrow mentally and visually highlighting the direction. The slow motion special text effects gets in the way of my seeing what I NEED to see to visualize to DO next.. For me, it would be better to have that text off to the side so I can read it AFTER I see what's happening with the clipper lever. UP or DOWN. I'm trying to get proficient in my MIND first. I want to watch a nice video but I want to be able to see it in myind so I can remember the visual WHILE I am. cutting hair. I want to clearly know what adjustment I make next. Like reading the signs in the subway or on the highway AS Î go forward. So it LOOKS like I know where I'm going WHILE I learn what to do. 🙏 Hope this helped. 🙏

So are all fades the same process? Like I can use this to do a low/mid/high taper, the difference is just the first guidelines and length in between right? I used to think different fades required different guards and different steps but it's all the same no?

YO Faded Culture, I have a question, I don't like bald fades but i like my hair short so will this work, 4 as my guideline and working my way upto 5 and 6?? Another question, What comb number do i fade in these 2 lines created using the guards im using above?? Please reply back ASAP

No, it's gon be next to impossible making guidelines using the 4, 5, and 6 combs, them is for long hair.. also rule of thumb is you should be able to knock out any guideline made with the comb that made it using lever closed, 1 guard below that's guarantees it.. PEace

@phabeondominguez5971 Actually, I was thinking of doing a 2 as my guideline then 3 and 8 with a flick out motion at the top sides, then blend the top sides with a comb and clipper to cut as I want the side top part flick out and blend smoothly with the rest of the hair at the bottom. So it should be long at the top and short on the sides will this work using the guards above ??

A bald fade is a fade that starts from being bald I to any length of hair on top. It could be a number 1 al the way to a scissor trim of hair. A buzz cut typically is just a short style like a 1-3 guard all around
