@Balding Boulder Well. I'd say men instead of people. Women have a lot of other insecurities they have to deal with from adolescence until they get old. And if you think men are having a hard time dealing with baldness, imagine women with alopecia. My point is just that balding sucks, but people experience other things that make their life miserable too.

Only opinion? Sounds like he got you thinking only option. Hair system, thin poly all around with lace in the middle. You think your self, well so will the ladies. I made it a reality! Was up! I took back control, and became the lion with his mane, the king with his crown. I am proud for not confirming to society's way of thinking. Baldness is a choice nowadays. Feel my confidence on them just shave it off offers. Now got better hair than them with natural hair, this ain't your grandpas toupee. Its nowadays advanced hair system. WoooOOo, I don't look like the next bald guy or a felon. I was balding, and I took it like Boss on them haters. FLEXIN STRONG AND HARD on me.

Its not the random people you need to fear giving you shit about going bald, it's ironically your friends and family who act bastardly towards it and its those same individuals whose opinion you value the most and that's why it stings initially.

Yeah, that sounds brutal. Poor kid. It's one thing to lose your hair when youre 35. It's another thing entirely to lose it when you're a teenager. I can't imagine what that must be like for him. It must be genuinely traumatic. I had a few friends who lost their hair at 20/21. They are 38 now and they have gotten over it completely. They both have shaved heads, are in happy relationships with kids and a mortgage etc. So tell him that it does get easier. Soon, his friends will start losing their hair too. He won't be the only one. That will make it a little bit easier to cope with. Also, I would strongly suggest that you try to get him off of finasteride and minoxidil ASAP! They can have devastating lifelong consequences, including permanent erectile dysfunction and infertility, as well as depression and suicidality. There is a whole slew of negative side effects associated with those drugs. They are incredibly dangerous, especially for someone as young as him. It's just not worth the risk to his long-term health. Try to persuade him to shave it all off. And when he does, TELL HIM HOW GREAT HE LOOKS! Reassure him. Do it all the time. Do it randomly throughout the day. Drop lots of little compliments. Stuff like "oh, that actually really suits you" or "that looks so much better" or "I really like that look" Constant reassurance. Good luck with everything. And remember that it will get better. He will get over it. If you have any questions or need advice, feel free to ask. Ive been through it, too.

It's actually pretty simple @Ruby , balding is a sign of aging and a pretty obvious one. In today's culture obsessing about enjoying life and striving to be good looking, you get models of both sexes looking like absolute peak humans you can ever find. No wrinkles, no cellulit, no balding etc. When you get reminded of your own imperfections and mortality from one side, and assaulted from cultural wave which is shaming imperfections in our bodies, the result is this.

You're onto something that goes so far beyond just the struggle of hair loss. It covers virtually every area in which we face fears in life. Getting a hair treatment, shaving it off, wearing a hat...they're all dealing with the symptoms of the problem, not the root. The root is self-confidence. And the only way to build self-confidence is to put your faith in - and to base your happiness of off - something other than your own self-image. Building self-confidence is about, paradoxically, worrying less about yourself and turning yourself outwards to be more concerned with other people and less concerned with how you think others see you and (more to the point) how you see yourself. The only way to "beat balding", as I think you're discovering and explaining so well, is to deal with the root problem head-on. Once that's beat, you're truly free. At the point if you want to go for the hair treatment, or shave it off, or just go au naturel, it's entirely up to you, but your coming from a place of freedom, not enslavement to fear. Great video and thanks for all you do.

Yeah sure and then just say the typical "looks don't matter" while every study and life experience proves it wrong
@CatonsvilleCentralRwy
@CatonsvilleCentralRwy 3 жыл бұрын
@@dtosmanm4743 Not at all. Looks help a lot. Lacking exceptional looks can almost be thought of as a “handicap” almost like living with a physical disability in a sense. Life is not fair at all, but it’s all about doing what you can with what you got. One might possibly have been be able to go further in life if they had looks on their side, but if they didn’t, they didn’t. They still only have one shot at life and they might as well make the most of it as they have literally nothing to lose. I believe the studies though, but the studies don’t prove the reason for the results. Could it be that most people who lack the best of looks are troubled by self confidence, and thus become a sort of self-fulfilling prophecy? All I can say is that I know plenty of great guys personally who have taken a shot and landed way “out of their league” successfully. One other point that took me a while to fully realize as a guy: your value as a human being is not in how many sexual partners you’ve had. A massive portion of our society has fallen for that lie, and so we do see the ramifications of that, like it or not, but that doesn’t change the fact that it’s not true.

@@CatonsvilleCentralRwy I am just pointing out that this guy thinks he is like the prophet of bald guys when in reality he has it better than most. So yes he can get away with being bald and still have a fulfilling life(mostyl sex life, because you can have a nice life in other aspects being unattractive). But most men cannot go bald because they look like shit so they should look into other options(now if the guy wants to go bald, no problem). The thing is this dude is making it seem it is not a big deal when in reality it is. Not every high value male has to have a lot of sexual partners, but every high value male has the ability to do it if he wants.

Back in 1999 I buzzed all my hair off for charity when I was 35. I had a receding hairline for years before that. I loved the way it looked and so did many of my family and friends...so I kept it. It gave me freedom and one less worry.

Thank you so much for this channel and for all the testimonals and tips you've given to men like me. Today was the first time I was capable to go out without a cap or a beanie, even after buzzing/shaving my hair for the last 2 years. I actually did grow my balding hair for a few months during the pandemic and I felt it. Suddenly I was anxious about it. It was bothering me again. I was trying to hide it again. But those feelings went away as soon as I shaved it again... Thank you man. I own my bald head like a boss and I like how young, fresh and handsome it makes me feel right now!

This video is so necessary, man. I never even realized this, having been shaving my head bald a few years after noticing my own balding at around 24 (now 32). But honestly it makes me uncomfortable not having my head shaved completely and I never thought twice about that, I'd just wear a hat if I was too lazy to shave. You made real, solid points here for me to reflect on. My next journey is to not shave my head and be OK with it. Thank you for this passionate video.

Take the plunge brother. My MPB first appeared in high school (age 15) and it took me until 17 to shave it all off. I did it reluctantly, but it turned out to be a major blessing in disguise. I'm 27 now (a decade of clean shaven) and it's the shit. Once you're on the other side you'll realise how much of a burden your hair really was. Having to style it, trying to conceal the balding, having it cut, and all the other stressors and maintenance involved. When you're ready to chop it - you'll look better, feel better, life is easier and more. Balding guys are beta asf and everyone feels bad for them. *Bald guys* are peak masculinity. Not only will you get less negative attention, you'll actually get more positive attention than when you had a full head of hair. People respect it, and women are attracted to it.

Hearing all of the stories on your channel makes me feel super lucky. My dad was dead-bald in his early 20s. When I first noticed my (already thin by nature) hair receding when I was 16, I figured I'd be bald soon. Now it's been 15 years, and my hair has certainly receded but not to the point that I'm forced to shave it off. Unfortunately for me, however, I have big ears, so I am pretty sure the bald look will only look goofy on me. I've now been on finasteride for a year to prevent any more thinning. Not sure if it is actually working or not, but I guess no change is good.

I went the exact opposite way that you went when I started to thin on top, I started growing my hair out, I never told anyone what my plan was, but I decided that I was going to keep growing my hair out as long as possible before it looked really bad. Grew it for 6 years or so, made it halfway down my back, and I donated it to "children with hair loss". Now I don't feel as though I "lost" my hair, I feel as though I "gave" my hair to someone who needed it more than me, and now it feels good to be bald because I helped someone.
