How timely! I had just listened to a 40k podcast not too long ago that mentioned the High Lords and wanted to learn more about them. And instead of waiting for them to make an episode on the subject you seem to have beat them to the punch! As always, well done Baldemort.

I admit to have not played the physical wargame, but through KZfaq (and some audible books) I've gotten really into the lore and lurked in the subs. I just wanted to say I really appreciate how you approach discussing lore in a more 'living' way! I watch a few channels, but yours is always special for the additional gravitas you lend to a narration that's more present tense. I'm bad at appeasing the algorithm, but I do enjoy every insight :)

Always knew of Warhammer and got more interest in he past couple of years and been wanting to know more. Not being horrible to other creators of lore, but I have not found them as engaging as your content, plus what a voice you have Baldermort. Big shout out to Jeremy Jahns and his latest video about Henry Cavill bringing Warhammer to the screen, as he recommended you in high regard and I had to come to your channel immediately and I got to say it's one of the easiest subscriptions I have ever made, absolutely love what I have seen so far and looking forward to go through all your content so far and what is yet to come. I do have a multi question, what is your opinion of Henry Cavill wanting to bring Warhammer 40k as a series or franchise, especially when Henry is a massive fan, plus what would you like to see, especially if done right?

Thank you for the excellent lore content as always brother. You really push across how disconnected the High Lords are from even such people as planetary governors and the like in their power and ambition. It's amazing really that with so few people being able to make certain decisions and authorize the use of certain assets that anything gets done at all, and that the Imperium has not totally collapsed from just delays in the paperwork process.

Great summation of a hugely complex topic! It is very easy to belittle and meme on the High Lords, but the sheer fucking weight of the smallest matter they deal with.... These beings rule so vast domains and holds such vast powers it strains the mind. Consider this; Every major High-Lord owns fortresses, armies, spy-agencies and much more. They are Grand Kings of galaxy-wide domains, who each represent something crucial to the Empires existence.

I do like the concept of the High Lords, and echo that I think they should be expanded upon. Let's see the point of a minor senator trying to court one of the Twelve, and stay in good ordure. Then again, I would also like to see the Nova Terra Interregnum expanded on. An entire quarter of the Galaxy rebels, Chapters upon Chapters are deployed, it lasts Throne knows how long, and all we know is that it's "eventually supressed". BAH!

The high lords of Terra better start looking over their shoulders for we know what's coming, Himself Lord uncle Baldy is on the trail, (the trail of the lonesome pine?). I STILL think you should do audio for the black library, nobody will be using your audio as a sleeping aid, hell no, (unless the weirdos like halloween), there is something beautiful about listening to your reading of the tale, and the colour you bring to your own work is amazing. I'm reading legacy of caliban and I've put that down to listen to this, I think that proves my point.
