Baldur's Gate 3 is one of the most beautiful fantasy games of all time... so I want to see it! Here we mod the camera and add a WASD control scheme. Plus, we set the toolbar to auto-hide so we can see more of the game while we are moving around. Here are the mods you will need:

Thanks for covering my mod! I'm really glad you like it. Immersive UI just got a large update which makes the UI elements fade in/out properly, rather than popping in and out of existence when your mouse hovers over them.

Just being able to look up is immensely helpful. I hated having to go to "top down" mode, simply because a character had the high ground, and I couldn't look up to target them otherwise.

Modders didn't do much, the devs who made the texture functional in the interiors of buildings even with a non-available 3D camera, they must had valido reasons not to include it

The game has been an unbelievable experience and I just knew mods would be what the small tweaks needed to be fixed. OSRS without Runelite where the modders created so many various forms of client support that some actually got implemented by Jagex themselves. There're a few ones I've noticed like when you have your hotkey Z will prioritize Jump and not Fly when they're both bound to Z automatically. This camera mod is definitely getting added the flexibility is just what it needs. I wonder if there will be AI voice mods or something along those lines... something to make my tav speak.

Absolutely fantastic video. I love how you have made zero presumptions so that new players to BG3 can follow along. I'm totally new to this game and it's bewildering the number of videos online that claim to be BG3 for beginners, only to send you into a nerd spin because authors have made far too many assumptions that you already know certain things when in fact, you don't! BG3 needs a totally Apples and Oranges video where the only assumption made is that the viewers know absolutely nothing.

Thank you for this video!!! A great help!!!! Two questions: 1) How do I uninstall the Immersive UI mod? Realized I don't want my character portraits hidden, but since I installed the whole pack, I'm not sure how to undo that, heh. 2) How do you move the camera around during dialogue and other locked scenes like that? I saw in your screenshots at the end that you got fancy with a "Speak with Dead" summoning!!

To disable the Combat Camera Zoom Out with ranged weapons there is a Mod on Nexus called " Remove Camera Move " It's amazing to finally play without forced camera jumps. Cheers!

WASD control seems like it might be nice. I gave the control controls a test, and was surprised to see that with a controller you directly move your character like this. But controller changes the whole UI around (makes sense), where this mod will just change the controls. The camera mod I could see causing some slight issues with being able to see things you maybe aren't supposed to see yet, but now that I've completed the game once I'm probably going to give it a try.

thank god, as a new player to this genre it quite affected me not being able to use WASD as movementkeys. i hate when i randomly press something and my character does a b tour across the entire map(exaggerating)

Question: so i don't know if this was AFTER the newest patch for BG3 but when i open the mod manager to launch up the game it gives me an error that the BG3 native camera tweaks weren't found. any fixes?

Help! I did everything exactly as you did in the video, but now my game wont start. The launcher comes up, but when I hit play, I just get a loading wheel on my mouse and nothing happens! I really hope I didnt break my game, but I'm fairly certain I did everything that was in the video. I do have Vortex manager and am using some mods through that, does that affect things?

i followed this guide for native mod loader and native camera tweaks and the game came up with an error at launnch saying there was a "Data mismatch due to unsupported mods or corrupt files" and wouldnt let me start the game. I had to remove all the mods to get the game working again

Excellent video. This helped a lot. I do have a question though: how did you detach the camera and get it to free roam? Never mind. Just had to click to move, which freed up the camera. Nope, thought I had it but didn't. Not sure what I did to free the camera, but it's not doing it now. Any help would be much appreciated. Edit: Use the Caps Lock to turn on/off the camera being attached to the player character..

i found with a new fresh install as of Mar 30 2024, you need the March 28th version of the script extender for the camera mods to work. link to the March 28th version of the script extender is on the nexus mods page linked by the video author in the 1st couple posts. i followed all instructions in this video with the older script extender DWrite.dll and the game loaded and all mods worked.

Hi Is there a way to have this mod for exploration only? I'm using it with controller and it works well but I prefer the default combat camera as this mod just messes it up. Tried editing the mod by deleting the combat camera lines but didn't work.

So the game still works just fine, but I get a popup, "We've detected a data mismatch, which may be caused by unsupported mods yata yata" Does this have anything to do with not having "learn to read"? You kind of mumbled and breezed right by that when the download told you it's a required file so I sorta dismissed it. Is there a download that I needed before starting any of this? Not having an issue aside from the popup, so if that's just something to ignore, thanks for such a great video!

hello, sorry i know is alittle late but i followed this guide and things were great, then i tried to install another mod. I ruined it and had to reinstall the game. however since ive done that this is no longer working and causes the game to not load. Do you know how i can wipe all mod files permanently so i can start again? as ive found my mods are still there even after a reinstalling and deleting them which is what i think is causing the issue
