This is a terrifying fight that, if you go into it unprepared, it may end your solo Honor playthrough. I wanted to demonstrate in this video how to correctly prepare for this encounter so that you can kill Ansur as a caster class in Honor Mode.
Remember that he will also perform Gathering Storm at 50% HP.
Important Note: Before killing Ansur, make sure you have a spare bonus action or action. When he reaches 0 HP, he will recover 1 HP and perform "Gathering Storm."

I appreciate this comment! A lot of planning was put in for such a short encounter haha. The thing I learned from doing solo Honor mode is that it's better to be over-prepared than lose hours of your playthrough from a single mistake. These fights really keeps me on my toes. 😅

I'm really glad you liked it! This one was a very scary fight. I spent hours thinking about how I should approach Ansur since I only had one attempt at it. I couldn't find any other video that did this as a caster class on solo honour mode; mostly the ones posted are in Tactician unless there's a hidden one out there, haha, and with perilous stakes so abusable in Tactician, I couldn't use any of those videos as a reference😅. Currently working on the rest of Act 3, I'll be uploading more soon!

Over 150hrs and 3 playthroughs and only now do i realize you can hide behind the crystals to avoid the storm heart nova, i thought it was unavoidable so you just had to use a spell of invulnerability or something

Question : Why do you cast Darkness behind the cristal wall ? Is the hitbox of the lightning nova based on sight, so you casted darkness to negate 100 % of the damage? Because I remember when I did this fight for the first time, hiding behind the cristals protects you a bit, but you still get hit by a fair amount of damage.

You could be taking damage from Shock. Or possibly the crystal you're standing near is damaged. The darkness was meant for the Water Myrmidons as they can't AOE through it or teleport near it, you'll see an example of this as the Myrmidon skipped its turn after his Lightning Nova. :)

How do you have Heat Convergeance?

Using Markohenshkir, you can use its skill called "Kereska’s Favour: Flame of Wrath." The neat thing about this is if you use any fire spell you add "Kereska’s Favour: Flame of Wrath" proficiency to any of your fire spells. Now, to amplify this further, as a level 6 Fire Draconic Sorcerer you gain Elemental Affinity: Fire Damage, this adds your charisma modifier to any of your fire spells. Ray of Fire becomes extremely strong in this situation. On top of"Kereska’s Favour: Flame of Wrath," each time you deal fire damage using a fire spell to an enemy, you will gain access to Heat Convergence. You can negate the burn damage inflicted on yourself by using your sorcerer's Elemental Affinity Resistance, shown at 3:53. Hope this answers your question. 🙂

@@Kukutiel40411 I knew all about that but didn't know that flame of wrath gives you heat convergeance as well. This is busted. It allows you to not use the thermogloves for it and use better ones instead. Damn.
