This fight in honor mode is very fun; Thaniel's clones and owl bear hits like a truck. Furthermore, you should avoid killing them close to you because Thaniel's Legendary Action will cause them to explode, making the area where you killed his clone hazardous.
I hope you enjoy this video, it was a lot of fun to record!
Level 4 Sorcerer | Level 4 Warlock
Patch # 16 now has a bug where you can't appear to toggle repelling blast off, which might lead to issues. Until this bug is fixed, I choose to respec my warlock to Devil's Eyes. I have to change my approach to Act 2 because this problem might be harmful to a solo honor mode run.

I used Spike Growth and Wall of Fire when I did the fight at level 7. Basically everything died just trying to get close enough to attack the portal. any area control spell makes that fight way more manageable

@@jthompson7024 I love this, I was thinking about Wall of Fire as well since every vendor that sells scrolls practically has them lol! Next playthrough I'll use this more often.

Cast darkness on the portal, that means the portal can’t be targeted at range, then ice storm outside the darkness, it is a concentration, but you don’t have to worry about killing almost anything since nothing will reach you in time.

Amazing video, totally “studying” this (stealing) video to know better for my solo playthrough. I was just wondering, wouldn’t Wall of Fire scroll helped a lot in the first encounter where you gotta fight bunch of weak enemies?

Thanks again! Jthompson mentioned in a comment that he used Wall of Fire and Spike Growth, which is fantastic for this fight. I would definitely take this into consideration if I utilized a potion of speed rather than haste. Since my character was concentrating on haste, Wall of Fire is also a concentration spell, therefore using it would take away my concentration and make my character Lethargic, I wanted to avoid that at all costs. Lethargic can be avoided by using a potion of speed after you've used your action. This will exhaust your current turn of Lethargic, and the following turn will go normally. However, I was being cheap and didn't want to use 2 potions of speed ZZZ. 😅

leveling with warlock to 4lvl then multiclass sorc? or full leveling with warlock? i just wanna do solo run too, without comp in next playthrough

I played pure Warlock from level 1 to level 5, as it is better for the class. I switched to Sorcerer at level 6 because of the AC and the Quickened spells (Level 4 Sorcerer, Level 2 Warlock). In order to obtain both feats, I choose to go 4/4 Sorcerer/Warlock in this video. However, at Level 9, I plan to respec into Level 4 Sorcerer, Level 2 Warlock, and Level 3 Rogue/Thief.

@@ALLO_CTAC This playthrough is completely solo. I keep my allies at camp because I like them. I buff myself at camp with Longstrider and Aid, which is quite helpful in Honor mode. I keep my Sorcerer Warlock class for thievery (without respecing); in my Act 1 full solo video, I demonstrated that it's still possible to steal items in honor mode without subclassing into a rogue. I store all the items that help with sleight of hand checks in my hotbar, including the gloves of power, shapeshifter mask, shapeshifter boon ring, silver necklace, and The Graceful Cloth. Following Volo's rescue from the goblin camp, Volo will appear at your camp as a merchant. He will be your primary source of economy because there are no consequences if you fail a sleight-of-hand check on Volo. All he does is run away and return after a few minutes. When using disguise self, failing a sleight of hand check will make an enemy hostile toward you. To avoid this, simply become invisible, go to camp, and return with a different disguise. The game will then register NPC dialogue based on your character's appearance, so all of the NPCs will resume talking to you without suffering any repercussions. Lastly, to replenish the merchant's inventory without using up any camp supplies, you can take a partial rest. All this combined makes getting items in this game very easy. How is it that you have so many scrolls of the spells you used, is there a way to duplicate scrolls thats not a glitch?

Unfortunately, I am unaware of any duplicate glitches. I gathered these scrolls for hours, as I showed in my Act 1 Full Solo Video, and I also had them piled up in Act 2. In this game, scrolls are very accessible, particularly that Volo can be rescued and brought to your camp. Stealing from Volo or Barcus Wroot has 0 repercussion as they simply run away and come back a minute later. For each extended rest or each time you reach a higher level, Volo and merchants in BG3 will continually replenish their scrolls and stocks. The neat thing about this game mechanic is that a merchant will replenish its supplies every time you take a partial rest, during which you don't use up any camp supplies. Volo and the merchants also scales the scroll selection to your level, so if you're at level 3, you'll see scrolls at level 4, and vice versa. I hope this information helps.

You can knock out Alfira by toggling non-lethal blow as a passive in the emerald grove. After you take a long rest or partial rest another adventurer will come to your camp in place of Alfira. :) She's too precious to kill lol.

How do you stack that much sorcery points?

Level 3 and level 4 warlocks have level 2 spell slots in addition to a level 2 warlock spell slot. Since I primarily use eldritch blast and other scrolls as my spells, I have used up all of my spell slots into sorcery points. Take a short rest to recover two warlock spell slots, which can be used for level magic missiles or mirror image etc or for more sorcery points. I also utilize Angelic Reprieve, which is offered for sale in Moonrise Towers by the bugbear. (Restocks per long rest or partial rests). Angelic Reprieve recovers your spell slots which can exchanged into more sorcery points; an example of this may be seen at 14:15. :)
