BG3 was a first ever CRPG for me. Learning the ins and outs of of the mechanics and controls (for me at least) was akin to learning how to fly a plane. What really helped me was honestly watching beginner guides on KZfaq.

Here are some tips and tricks! Every character can jump. As a bonus action + 3m of your speed, you can jump a distance based on your strength modifier. Very useful for your barbarian :) At 5:30 you skipped over the subclass of Gale, you could also choose a different subclass or just read up on the abilities it gives to you. The spell longstrider is a ritual spell. Ritual spells do not consume a spell slot when used out of combat. So you can cast it on all your party members when out of combat so they gain additional speed. For Astarion, rogues gain once per round bonus damage by using sneak attack, by default this is enabled and triggers when the rogue attacks with advantage or when your target is besides one of your allies. An easy way for rogues to gain advantage is by hiding, they can do this as a bonus action. For Shadowheart, guidance is amazing. You can use it on every ability check you make for an additional 1d4. The idea of the game is also taking rests, some events in the game only happen during that. Per day you have 2 shorts rests, this will instantly restore 50% of every party members health and restore abilities that say they are getting replenished at short rest. (You do not need to spam your health potions to regain health) You also have a long rest, this where some of the events happen. A long rest will fully restore your characters back to full power. The short rest option and the option to go to camp where you can long rest are in a little menu that opens up when you click the campfire icon in the bottom right. Regarding thieves tools, every locked door you can right click and select lockpick or double left click on the locked door will show the screen to lockpick. If you think the rolling takes to long after the 50th roll. If you click the dice when it is playing the animation, you skip the animation. If anyone in the comments says you missed something, ignore them that is just new content for a second playthrough :) And it could lead to interesting outcomes some haven't seen, so just ignore them.

I don't know why but despite baldur's gate 3 being my favorite game of all time I've never been much interested in watching full playthroughs of it. But something about you playing it is very fun to watch for me. So I'm looking forward to more of these. Also I've gotta appreciate the Murcielago profile picture.

yaaaaaaay i found the first video in this series yesterday and i was so bummed the follow up video wasn't out yet... but here it is! woohoo! so used to seeing people master every single meta strategy in the game that its nice seeing someone inexperienced give their impression and thought process. The feeling of the first play of a great game ... there's nothing like it and this vid gives me a whiff of it I could watch hours of this if you streamed the unedited version
