@@ChainsawGutsFuck I bought the game already cuz I wanted to try it out. I over Div 2 but wasn’t around when they did their early beta stuff, got into the game about a year later after full release. So this time around I wanted to support them, plus I’m a massive D&D nerd and as well as a fan of this company, so the two of them working together in Baldur’s Gate 3 is like a wet dream

Full release = definitive edition in 5 years or so. Until then everything is just another beta.

@@Rogue_Six Incorrect. Full release means a beginning, middle, and end to the game. Anything else after the end is just extra content. Beta is prior to the release of and end.

@@jonirenicus9407 If you're going to quote correct people, at least try not invent the quote lol. Larian said in July the game's release would happen "HOPEFULLY somewhere in 2022". That means they aren't even sure it will be out before 2023, so it stand to reason an early May 22 release wouldn't only be wildly optimistic, it would be entirely unrealistic.

@@grassytiger they're working on the full game, have been since they started. They are only releasing ACT I in EA. Likely level 4 will be the cap until release. Edit: spelling.

Yay! Game was terrible when I played it. Then I heard the max level was going to be like 7 or 8 and people saying "DND isn't about the levels." Like, huh, what? It's entirely about the progression and getting more powerful. Most people don't give 2 shits about gameplay, lore or story. They usually just want to kill stuff, intimidate people and level up.

Dont know about thorough, did you play pathfinder wotr? The amount of choices in that game is insane! But bg 3 looks a lot better though.

@@EK-em2zv "choices" in WOTR: (a) eat bread, (b) not eat bread, and there are hundreds of "choices" like these that ultimately adds nothing to your game, apart from diverting player attention to their "okay" writing, 6/10 writing. Not a bad game in any measure, but certaintly are not as good as you are trying to marketed to us. Additionally, player agency is nowhere near Larian's made game. Like, you can't even kill everyone *and* having the game reacted to your "decision".

Prettiest, most thorough, best written "ever"... could people stop with such remarks or at least have the decency to add an "in my opinion"? Because that is all there is - an opinion. I love Larian games and enjoyed playing every single one (except Dragon Commander which I never tried) but I would never say their games are "the best" anything. Who was the best musician of all time? Mozart? Bach? Elvis? Freddy Mercury? The best painter, the best writer? The answer is: nobody. Because art lies in the eyre of the beholder. Games are art.

@@oldoneeye7516 Objectively, it's the most beautiful cRPG there is. Graphical fidelity is not a matter of taste. Environment and character design, art style of course are up to debate and I'm not even a fan of the art style in comparison to DOS2, but I would still say no other game of the genre comes close to this. Also, "thorough" in terms of the sheer amount of choice and consequence, and pen-and-paper like freedom. Don't think there's another game that compares in this aspect either.

Paladin is cool and whatnot, but I am wondering if they will add Artificer and how limited it will be, if yes.

@Meridias Watchtower Thanks for the info :) Part of me does want to play it right now and just act totally out of character for the way I normally play. But I never finished Act 1 and instead just messed around with the game for a while trying out various classes to see what playstyle I would likely prefer. Specifically because at the time it sounded like it would come out around September this year. And I got a bit scared that I would feel like I was just retreading old ground once the game is finished. Partly also because I think if I will love the finished game as much as I hope and think I will. I'll probably want to replay not only as one of the other characters but one original character playthrough as well. Even though yes I actually have some problems getting my head around certain things. Since I have never played D&D in my life and there are just so many ways you can play it that I feel unsure about the "best way" for the lack of a better term. I have this fear with games like this that I will make a mistake when it comes to builds that will make me hit a brick wall and not be able to progress :p

Certain spells and consumables buff your rolls: he rolled 1 on a 20 sided dice, -1 from intelligence (which most likely there is a bug that cause the debuff to stack twice), but he then rolled a 5 on the item spores d6, and rolled a 1 on the spell guidance, gives him a 1 -1 -1 +5 +1 = 5
