over 100hrs on the EA myself. I forced myself to put it down so I wouldn't spoil everything in the first act. It's HUGE bro. You won't be ruining anything if you picked it up and familiarized yourself with the characters and stuff. It's going to be fantastic!

I am so excited for this experience. Divinity 2 was a massively fun game to play with my friends. We really enjoyed the early access for this when it first came out. Thanks for taking your time and putting your passion into it. Larian is one of the few developers that actually cares anymore and it shows.

Well or if you like the classes/rules of 5E D&D better than the options you had in DOS2. Which is true for me, but other than personal bias in favor of D&D, I'd say the experience is very similar.

Actually yes Xbox will get it aswell but they are currently having issues getting the spilt screen multiplayer to work on Xbox but after they fix it it will then release for Xbox. This was on the official Larian Sub Reddit. That's why they haven't announced it yet

I won't object if they keep making games like this. If they obtained the licence to do Icewind Dale III as their next project, I'd be so happy. Less dungeon crawling than the two predecessors, of course, and more classic RPG. But we desperately need to return to the Dale. Larian is showing with BG3 what they can do, so why not revive the IWD sibling as well ???

@Solar rpg BG3 is more of a DAO sequel than Inquisition and 2 were. I actually rather enjoyed 2 and I don't hate Inquisition, it's fun for one playthrough (unlike Origins where I did like a dozen). But if you put Inquisition or 2 and BG3 side by side, if I didn't know anything about the lore and worlds, I'd be more inclined to call BG3 DAO's proper sequel.

If I were to recommend any recent CRPG's to give a shot it would be Divinity: Original Sin 2, Wastelands 3 and Solasta. Divinity: Original Sin 2 was Lariam's previous game and really was a fantastic experience, almost on par with the original BG series _imo._ Wastelands 3 may be the most underappreciated game in recent memory. It was/is on Gamepass so you can literally play it for $1 with a 1/m Gamepass membership. The game is about 40 hours long if you do a decent amount of sidequests so it's not crazy long, and is certainly different than any of the other CRPG's on the market as of late. A huge portion of the original Wastelands 1 and 2 team along with a bunch of the original Fallout 1 devs put it together and did a damn good job. Very well written and witty as heck while certainly not extending it's welcome, wrapping up at an almost perfect time. And damn, clowns really can be kinda scary...

So, since so many games get "released" in early access nowadays. I didn't notice that Baldur's Gate 3 was also early access. Started playing the game and fell in love with it. (Wish the character creation was more expansive though.) I was like, dang, my job has been super overwhelming lately, let me take a day off using my banked overtime, and just take a Monday off and play Baldur's gate, literally all day...... I finished the early access Friday..... lol. So I ended up playing a lot of the Batman franchise games. But anyway, can't wait for this to come out!

I'm really, really excited about Baldur's Gate 3. Such a story density, so many possibilities and so many different consequences. I actually walk only a few steps further and come across a new event. Cutscenes, dialogue options. the implementation of the dice rolls, really a dream and just started, I already wish for a whole series of games with this basic system. because I was never satisfied with the class and looks of my character, I had played the beginning a number of times. So I got an impressive idea of what happens if you fail a dice test and choose a different dialogue. beautiful scenes turned ugly . Boring solutions interesting and vice versa. just great. It's been 30 years since I last played Pen&Paper but yeah...I've had a similar experience here with the different fun choices always tailored to your class etc etc. really nice . whenever I thought it was getting monotonous, the new events that I experience just a few steps further captivate me again. thank you that this game doesn't show any superheroes, but that you start as a nobody and not only get to do things that save humanity, but also have normal encounters and tasks.

I bought early access back when it was released, played once... And it was glorious! It was just one act but I really sinked into the story and cared about characters or choices. For long time I didn't felt that in any game. BG3 was worth the money even for that one chapter. I don't mind that we have to wait so long because I know Larian used every day of that time to make this game epic and unforgettable. I feel like teenager again. :D

Have you tried Divinity: Original Sin (2)? Larian made those games and a lot of BG3's DNA is stemmed from their D:OS games. The story is just as in-depth--though without the cutscenes and the 5e system, and really lets you focus on the characters in the story and the wide variety of decisions you can make. Basically a structured sandbox of anarchy and order all at once. A true envisionment of a D&D campaign. If you enjoyed what you played of Baldur's Gate III, then you will love D:OS.

@@QrazyQuarian I have Original Sin on Steam but didn't really had time to try it. I'm aware that BG3 is somewhat of an evolution. I remember when Divine Divinity came out like 20 years ago and it was a bit clunky. Still, maybe someday I willfind time for more RPG's. :)

No puedo esperar a que salga. Los early access hicieron volar mi cerebro así que ni siquiera puedo imaginar el juego completo en toda su gloria. Es realmente un gusto la dedicación de larian studios a los rpg clásicos. Ya lograron una obra maestra con divinity y baldur gate 3 se dirige a superarlo sin dudas. No hay mejor disfrute para los fans de esta clase de juegos. Muchas Gracias.

Sorry, I don't speak Russian. So the translation might be bad. But if you buy the game while in Early Access, you get the Deluxe Edition upgrade for free. It might be worth buying it now and not play it until full release.

@@jingtroc23 Larian has a deal with Sony currently to release first in PC and PS5 on August 31st. It’s speculated that Xbox will release at a later date

It's running on a highly upgraded DOS2 engine so I'm sure the multiplayer experience will be of similar high quality.

Bought the Steam preorder right as it was announced. Been playing ever since and have loved it all the while. I'm really looking forward to FINALLY being able to progress past Act 1!

Inb4 the full game comes out and it turns out it's all extra classes and abilities and stuff but you never actually leave Act 1. (This was a joke, but would be funny if all the Minsc and JK Simmons stuff we've seen ends up just being teasers for BG4).

First time I played a Larian Studios game I had to stop at the character build from being overwhelmed with choices. 140 hours later I was mourning the completion of one of the best adventures I had ever undergone. Cannot wait for this game!

OMG I've enjoyed the early access a lot and been following your development from a really long time ago I love the way you are developing the game and I'm very excited to finally play the full game when is out, there's nothing I've been wanting more than to explore the city of baldur when the game comes out and it looks like we finally got a date for it.

Been waiting 20 years for the next entry in the BG series. Something tells me this will have been worth wait. Not that it's been easy. I purchased the early access the day it was offered to support Larian. Haven't touched it though. Wanted to wait until I could dive in completely.
