When I encountered that part and they stole my stuff I thought the only way was through the little hole that was for smaller people, so I just reloaded a save and completely skipped that person! It looks like online people are still bugged with it. It’s definitely not our favorite quest in the game!

*It did not "come out of nowhere" at all* (This is no objection, just an addition of my opinion on this). First of all, the Larian was around plenty of years, probably decades now. It had at least two really successful titles already with similar game mechanics, but were under-appreciated at that time. BG3 itself was in Early Access for three years and the reviews of that time were very favorable. Second, where are the "great games of the year"? In the CRPG area, I do not know many. The most hyped two releases I know of this year in similar areas where mere flops IMHO which did under-deliver by a lot. That fact though does not diminish the achievement of BG3. Third, IMHO the big studios are getting more and more lazy, IMHO because they are funded by big corporations and the stock exchange. The stock exchange and financial officers of big corporations do not care about playability, replay value or fun. They care, how to get as much profit out of players with as less investment as possible.

yeah tactician feels like story mode for CRPG standard but think that was larian design intent, BG3 and 5E are by far the most accesible and easy to get into CRPG. Hence why it had 800K players on steam and more complex CRPG barely have above 100K peaks

@@nolimits9776 hopefully an patch down the line or the defintive edition adds tactican enemy hp modifier or ironman mode where full party wipe is save deleted, when players are doing full solo tactican runs then the difficulty is shallow.

If you craft well your party yes, even in Tactician it's sorta easy. You can try better enemies and all sort of mods which rump up enemy powers and it's again challenging.

Weak character with no close range combat. I was running a level 1 sorcerer that had disadvantage from close range attacks. Got swarmed and died. Poor positioning ultimately.

For a game of this scale, it's pretty uncommon for any review site small or large to have a full cast of completed runs. Go watch Game Informer, Kinda Funny, MinnMax or any of the large-scale podcasters out there reviewing this game, none of them had a full table of hosts who rolled credits on the game.

hey, one of them finished, almost, and, tbf, each act is game that can be reviewed, just if we're talking amount of content (Act2 is the best tho, just style wise and certain choices/results make bad guys really seem like winning force)

Great discussion. This game is vast, I have an embarrassing amount of hours in this game, beat it twice, and I still love hearing people share there experience no matter how far they progressed.

They definitely do, but the resolutions with companions and all your decisions and epilogue slides were bugged massively. To be fair, this is the perspective of a Dark Urge run which is more heavily involved in the plot. I dont know why people insisted not playing them first, its just a better experience

In the beginning of the video, we mentioned one of the panel beat the game. So we did have someone roll credits. That being said, choices do matter in this game throughout. They may not matter at the end, most of us haven't gotten there yet, but throughout the game there are countless moments where choices actually do have a noticable outcome on the future state of your game.

they deffinetly do matter but having heard feadback the devs have begun reinstating the extended epilogs they cut, fearing people would think they were too long also added 3 more ways one of the party members story can end since the community was mad at how the poor girl was done dirty.

@@TheInnerGamer You misunderstood me. I am referring to there are only 3 major endings in the game much like release day mass effect 3 if you ever played that. because of this, a lot of choices you make in the game do not matter at all.

Game deve thought the only people who play D&D are people who can't get laid so they decided to make a fantasy sex fetish game. There are plenty of RPGs out there but non of them scratched that fetish itch like Baldurs Gate has... I personally like my RPGS where every character doesn't sexually harass me, but hey, whatever floats your boat
