Baldur's Gate 3 and Larian Studios were very deserving of the game of the year award from my experience on the game. Do you think it should have won or should Spider-Man 2 or Alan Wake 2 have won?

It was amazing! Play with a friend you’ll have a blast. First time don’t bother with trophies just play making mistakes and figuring out all you missed is incredible. I didn’t even want to play the game, now it’s one of my top five of all time.

At 8:45 when you tried to loot the spider you clicked on a pile of bones next to it, that’s why the loot was only 2 gold. Not that you missed anything gamebreaking, just thought I would point it out :) Grats on the platinum

I didn't realize that going on a date with Karlach was difficult. I played my first run as a heroic type, romancing her, and I got to that point organically. Granted, this was like a month after the game's release, so something might have changed since then. That's a huge selling point for the game for me though, that multiple people can have different ideas of what in the game is or isn't difficult, just based on how that person has been playing the game. Love it!

I thought it was tough mainly because it’s easily missable if you miss any of her events… and I played a good portion of act 1 before even finishing her! I agree. The relatability is fantastic

When the game came out the romancing was messed up and it was super easy to date anyone you wanted to. It has since been fixed

@@3PointGaming As far as I know there are some Tieflings that can be missed. I know for example you can have the "special scene" as Dark Urge with Alfira and still get the trophy

25:00 The thing about Minthara's raid on the grove is that there isn't any need to rush, you can take plenty of time/long rests. It can't happen until someone tells Minthara the grove's location. It just so happened that in your first playthrough you helped Sazza escape from the grove for the trophy, and so Sazza lead Minthara straight there.

98 hours for this plat is crazy 😭 I didn’t get it til 350 but then again I did 3 playthroughs and was just doing everything each time it’s so much fun. I still want to play it again lol.

love the video man but there actually is a way to keep shadowheart in your camp AND save nightsong! Shadowheart is garunteed to permanently leave if you dont bring her into the fight with balthazar and the choice of whether or not to save nightsong. In my personal playthrough I made a few persuasion checks to convince Shadowheart not to do it and she later denounces her faith to Shar in the game! There are so many possibilities and options I love this game so much.

I had no clue! You and others have been saying that and I have no idea. My 1st run I just happened to not have her with me. It was unintentional… well kinda was intentional that I moved her out

I just got my platinum a few weeks ago. Didn’t regret the over 600 hours I invested into it. I love every minute I play baldurs gate 3. I commend you for going on the trophy grind right off the bat.

It's amazing how many ways the narrative of the game can change depending on the decisions you make. I never had Shadowheart leave my party, but i managed both story paths on my 2 playthroughs where she's a cleric of Selune and a cleric of Shar. The way the story plays out in both scenarios is really well done

From Gerringothe Thorme, the Mace Twist of Fortune will deal 1d6 damage for every 300 gold in a targets inventory, but will consume the gold in the process. I used a cheese to steal gold from merchants, used my Tav to cast invisibility on Astarion to have him pickpocket and plant massive stacks of gold into their inventories. I then casted Invisibility on Shart and had her use that weapon to deal massive damage and one-shotting Orin and Gortash.

So so so many things I love about BG3 but one of the main reasons. You can talk to so many different people and we all have different number 1 companions in the party. Such good writing

Balthazar can be killed before you go to the Nightsong. Makes him much easier. Also keep Shadowheart with you through the entire gauntlet of Shar and be good and she’ll choose to save the Nightsong and stay 😊

@@3PointGaming Thats the Beauty of the game, I missed most of Lae'zel's stuff bc I had her benched but saw all of Shadowhearts stuff. Despite playing with very similar mindsets (being a good person) we had vastly different playthoughs.

Trusting shadowheart to not kill her isn’t guaranteed, I’ve had it go both ways. I think it’s based on approval or if you’ve gone with good choices up until then, which makes it even more satisfying when she doesn’t

For the Balthazar fight, sneak around and move (don’t throw except for the 2 skeletons off the main boss arena before you reach it as it will agro the boss) all of the skeletons to the very point where you first jump in. I put 6 explosive barrels down in front of them and then used astarion to pick pocket the speed potion out of Balthazar’s pocket starting the fight. All the skeletons spawned right there by the barrels. One flame bolt and they were gone. Then just focus fired on boss man. Or just polymorph him before he agros and shove him like you did.

Just a little thing from your Orin duel, paralysis makes all melee hits Critical, so the best way to benefit from Hold Monster are high damage melee builds like Paladin

The amount of loot you lose for just tossing enemies into the anbyss absolutely kills my inner loot goblin, I haven’t yeeted a single enemy (aside from off cliffs to places I can still access to loot) during my tactician playthrough (currently halfway through act 2).

Yeah this is true. My first run I lowered the difficulty and I enjoyed it a lot more. Then of course my "speedrun" run was a struggle... although I really did enjoy all the strats I used. I love how versatile the game lets you be

Super easy way to knock down the dragon and kill gortash without traps. Use mind blast on the dragon it knocks him down. In the room outside gortash boss fight room destroy the traps with lightning I did it on my tactician and it didn't agro him I used sneak attack on him and it started combat he entered that room and we killed him without traps activating as we destroyed those ones.

In my first playtrough I killed Karlach without hesitation cus i was following the quest but later at work i realized she had items that playable charachters do (and ive seen tiktoks) so i reloaded the save and threw couple of hours of gameplay for Mamma K.

Man props to ya. I think your biggest achievement is playing the game with a controller. I can't do it lol. I backed the game in EA and have been playing it since 2020 so am used to mouse and keyboard but recently tried to play it on my Steam Deck and it definitely takes some getting used to.

You don't have to kill nightsong to keep Shadowhart but you do have to let her come to the conclusion herself basically.

Huh, every time I played the game, even from the first play through I just went into the goblin camp and killed everything every time, I didn’t know they actually attack the camp or anything like that

What’s crazy is even after getting the platinum the game isn’t done. It’s got so so so many different endings. Like 17,000 according to Larian. Would take like 1800 hours to see every single ending. Love the damn game

Yeah I didn’t know. It wasn’t on purpose because I just didn’t have her with me when doing the Balthazar fight. I had gale, Karlach, and Lae’zel. I didn’t look that up ahead of time

How you didnt dig up 5 chests before act 3 is mindblowing....you must have had blinders up the entire time lol....I probably had 5 before even finding the grove

On my tactician Durge run, I found way more. I have no clue how I didn’t notice it on the first run especially considering I did way more of the side quests lol

BTW, You don't need to kill Nightsong to keep Shadowheart in your party, you can do both.
