Each play was designed to move the chains and not do too much. No risk, just slow methodical marching down the field. Shanahan knew exactly how much time he had and what his team could do.

That tackle attempt by Owens on the last play is some of the worst tackling technique you'll see. He slows to turn his body so he can launch the back of his shoulder at CMC. That technique went from CMC probably scores but you have a chance to there is no way it brings him down, easy score.

I believe if he made that tackle would've been worse for his team. The 49ers left over a minute to the Packers with a 3 points lead, a big chance. CMC had the first down, and the 49ers could have burnt more clock and scored anyways with how they were running.

McCaffrey could have ran away from that tackle, but instead he went INTO him, and staying loose for the hit, kept his balance. That made the difference.

No, Brock Purdy does NOT need to prove them wrong. Even if he wins, it won't matter. He doesn't fit the "Superman Quarterback" narrative. The NFL community, especially NFL media outlets won't accept him because he doesn't fit the "Superman Quarterback" narrative. It's not Brock Purdy's fault he wasn't born into a prototypical quarterback stature. But the NFL will continue to hold it against him and they'll always perceive him as being less than a Superman Quarterback. Think of Superman Quarterbacks as the Super Models of the NFL. All other quarterbacks are held to an unrealistic standard of athletic excellence they're unable to meet. Just as the women are held to unrealistic beauty standards Super Models have set for all women. It's a ridiculous. The NFL is tainted with toxic masculinity that demands quarterbacks must be "Superman Quarterbacks" or they're not good enough. This is what's happening.b

@@BeingButterflyYea I see Brock as Drew Brees. That’s his best qb comparison. Brees was not the biggest guy and didn’t have a real strong arm. But he had tremendous accuracy and poise and threw the ball with timing and anticipation. Hence he went on to have a hall of fame career and win MVP and a Super Bowl and finished his career with like 70,000 yards passing. Pretty damn good for a smaller guy without a cannon for an arm. That’s how I see Purdy. Hopefully he can stay healthy and put up the kind of numbers Brees did.
