I do not think the control would be so amazing at all if the delivery was so good. It's the fact that the recieving player has somehow controlled a ball that is out of their reach that makes most of these clips so good.

So many great first touches - from dead stops to pulling the ball out of the air to changing direction. Are these getting more and more common? In the old highlights only a few footballers (zidane, bergkamp, and a few others) were doing such things. I think footballers are overall getting better at first touch and that's a great thing!
