That is nature by proxy and intended by your nervous system to alert your knees and whole body to literally sink to the floor. Yeah…it’s for preservation reasons. Thank goodness. Because without that…good Loardie would there be fatalities easily. Not kidding! Most ppl hearts are racing, they feel sweaty, nauseous, numb, zoned out as in not feeling they are inside their bodies, basically your whole self is now in total ‘survival mode’…literally clinging on to surfaces and anything to grip on. Except those who overcome or have less and in comparison less ‘fear’ ‘apprehension and those who dare do the exact opposite to what the vast majority of humans would instinctively do. The most interesting thing about all is perception. For example. One who does never been up there would never understand. The difference about perception from the floor up or on eye sight level seated ( ppl who watch) and the fact check of reality BEING up there…Huge discrepancy hence the clip arousing most anyone’s brain…

I'm a skydiver and find it REALLY scary leaning from a balcony in a tall building, compared to jumping from an airplane thousand of feet high. It's a different kind of fear knowing there's nothing saving you if you fall from a structure. Even the physical response is different. It always surprised me.

I used to jump out of airplanes for 7 years when I was a U.S. Army Paratrooper. And no matter how many times I did it, I felt the anxiety before the jump every single time. I only felt relaxed after my parachute deployed.

The fact that she was shaking shows how incredibly brave u are to not only get up that high but to hurl yourself off it , I held my breath as you both ascended and was literally feeling the shaking from the comfort of my office chair!! This high diving sport is one of the most daring but also one of the most elegant things I've ever seen . Love your videos , and I like the fact that you show your vulnerability in the fact that even top top athletes can get nervous and a little scared too. It's shows that u take safety very seriously and are not complacent even tho u are a seasoned pro.......utter respect to u 👏

@@SilIiestGoose As a kid, I jumped into a pool from a little platform (or the edge of the pool? Can’t remember exactly lol) and landed flat across the water. The impact hit me in the thigh as if some big hands slapped me. It HURT. Obviously not as bad as braking a back, but I was so confused as to why something liquid could hurt so much lol.

Yeah I hate it when people pull pranks like that. If I were up there and someone pulled a prank on me, I would have a paralyzing fear of heights my entire life. I normally don't hold grudges, but I can never forget that my dad insisted on carrying me on his shoulders as a toddler despite me crying.

i don’t have a fear of heights but a fear of falling. if i’m safe and looking down a big distance, i don’t feel worried. but if i’m on a small platform like that, where i’d feel unbalanced and unsafe, i would definitely be nervous

You just have to work your way up. Once you do a certain height after a while you don't even think about it. From there you can take it up a notch. And then you have the people who just don't care and go from the top for the hell of it.

The fear of hights is just that... youre scared to be in high altitude. The fear of fallibg is actually more linked to a fear of losing control alas a free fall. People with fear of falling dont mind heights (e.g. platforms, planes, high rise buildings, etc) as long as they cannot fall (e.g. due to a barrier, window, harness). As soon as the option of falling exists they panic and start shaking. Falling inplies loss of grip, loss of control, and hence that is the core issue. Interestingly many ppl who are afraid of falling are also scared on launched roller coasters 😮
