Update on my Gaynor Minden 🩰 & Suffolk Reign vs. Russian Pointe Rubin Shoes || Back en Pointe #5

Is anyone else dealing with this squeak problem with Gaynor Minden Shoes? Let me know if you find a solution. I'm now using the Suffolk Reign and back to my old reliable Russian Pointe Rubin.

Such a good video! I was the kid who went to school first few hours then ballet til end of day. Haven't danced in 💯 years but decided to pick up the ballet shoes this year. I look forward to "my ballet classes" with you (videos) on the weekends. Nearly ready to dare pointe🤪 again.

I don't want to disappoint you, but if you start at 14, even in studio, it is really really hard to be professional. Only I'd say 2% of people actually make it to the company, starting at this age. And if you do only online youtube lessons, its just not possible. Even dancing few hours every day only learning from youtube won't give you good techinque and stuff like that. You need a teacher to correct you, beacuse a video is not able to tell you "hey, you do that wrong". I say that, because I dont want you to give yourself false hopes :) It ofc does not mean, that you can't dance at all! Of course you do, and learning at home is still fun and I really like, when people do this

I just got fitted in the Suffolk Reign today and I was wearing RP Rubin Radiance before! My fitter told me that there has been some drama with the RP factory and that the Suffolk and the Rubin are made on the same last :) You look amazing in the Reigns!

@@naturebound2901try RC10 or RC20, while made on different lasts they are pretty comparable to Almaz

I don't think that gaynors are good choice for people who are still learning pointe. These are synthetic shoes, mostly made from plastic. Its shank is also plastic, and it does not make you feet work as hard as in classic pointe shoes. It actually weakens your feet muscles and if you dance only in gaynors, it is really hard to come back to normal shank. Its kind of "cheating" haha. You prob know all of those things, but I just wanted to say that - maybe someone else will use this tip :)

Hi there! The sizing are completely different and you will definitely want a fitting. I’m a 40 w5 v2 is the Russian Pointe Rubin’s and am a 6.5xxx in the Suffolk Reign

I’ve heard by a fitter that some pointe shoe companies, if approached by another brand to contract out an order, only under their name, they often will accept this contract. It’s something that must be carefully legally parsed, but really it’s in the original company’s interest to do so. (Given the order size.) & Suffolk does admit to working with the most popular style of “R-Class” (Russian Pointes) to create this “Reign” shoe. Directly/inspired: I’m unclear. I love a vamp 1 Rubin, so I’m interested! Only because My heart has been ripped outta my chest over the Gaynor debacle. I had just found my perfect fit: right then they’re sold/moved to Bosnia & Herzegovina…& completely changed (for the worse), despite their French ownership/ partnership…& outright denial of such. If Sveta (Zakharova) isn’t happy: nobody can be happy (in my fanatical opinion. 😅) has anyone tried their new “Lyra” style: it looks like Eliza Minden got some input (finally)…& they’re trying to fix? Still takes 12 weeks to order I believe…oh how I miss the good ‘ol GM days, US factory-productions. Love your channel! Best wishes!! 🙏🩰💕
