The opponent choked that match. They kept wasting their little prince expecting to defend balloon with wizard. That doesn't work in double and triple elixir, because Boss had enough elixir to kill the opponent's wizard with void every time. Therefore little prince was the opponent's only truly reliable balloon counter in double and triple. Night witch and void don't really counter balloon outside of single elixir because the pushes are too overwhelming.

To be fair It's 5 elixir, relatively vulnerable against constant inflicting damage and pretty slow. It's a wincondition as well, there has to be some incentive to using it. Death damage just happens to be it

@@Luna-mo4bp That's an invalid argument. Royal giant is 6 elixir and can easily be stopped without taking any damage. Same with golem in many instances, and royal hogs, giant, and goblin giant. The fact that it's an air troop (with a smaller sight range, making it harder to pull) already makes it significantly harder to stop. And add death damage on top of that? Small nerf, for sure.

@@Potatoman153 Invaild argument? All I did was lay out facts and gave common sense. Also I'm not even going to comment why comparing Royale Giant and Goblin Giant to Balloon is unfair, you should know why. If you don't then you probably have no right to declare statements like this. Golem and Giant are more tanks than dedicated DPS win-conditions, they typically die because they're tanks... But if you're having an issue in kiting Balloon and are able to perfectly defend Royale Hogs, a card that chips all the time, then perhaps you should adapt your deck whenever Balloon is prominent. Or maybe learn to play against Balloon better. Balloon does not need a nerf, It's an above average card... but not enough where a nerf is needed.

@@supermannygamer2003no because balloon doesn’t counter my push. E giant could be used to solve every problem. A push coming? E giant. Your marriage is crashing and burning? E giant. And afterward you’re basicslly left with a half HP e giant to deal with.

It's the only splash card in the deck so the wizard gets a lot of value. I would say go for wizard or executioner. Or maybe LP because it's broken.

Well I'd say balloon is an above average or an average card, but bro definitely not broken.

Yeah same logic as elixir collector, only became good because of duchess, but no way in hell was it broken, just an average card. Yet it got nerfed when it didn’t need it. It was perfectly fine for many years yet it suddenly became good while never being changed, just bring any medium spells and you are fine against the collector. Now the collector is pretty bad after the changes.

@@DemiCape Yeah I agree. So many of these cards just get better because of the uprise in the meta. But I don't think they will nerf the balloon any time soon. Like when it got that rework people thought it was gonna be busted until they realized it wasn't. It's kinda like how mirror became so popular when it could spawn +2 levels(but that was balanced, only due to the electro giant and giant skeleton being so broken as hell). I wish they didn't nerf the mirror back to its original state.

@@ianmckee1668Personally I have always been supporting the idea of mirror having the same level and the same elixir cost. Yet many people think it is gonna break the game somehow. The reason 2 level mirror was broken was because of massive interaction changes because of the card being of course 2 levels higher.

Tower would still go down evo knight is so broken and duchass is about of arrows
