In winter, I have pretty much sinus problems every damn day, but it happens enough in the summer. I tried sprays, I got a nose surgery to make nose straighter. It's mostly because of my IBS, but I think I might want to have this surgery, so I can breathe better. I snore, my father snores, my older brother has issues with his nose. I may save up for this.

You should try balloon Sinuplasty to enlarge the eustachian tubes, and you also should try having a turbinate reduction and enlarging any of your specific sinuses that have problems.

I had terrible headaches at night. Pressure from thick mucous on my rt sinuses. I took too much Advil. If I didn’t jump up out of bed or turn on my opposite side I would get migraine for the whole next day. Watching tv I would hold my rt cheek up to open up my rt nares. I will be cognizant of cleaning dust off of my bedroom floor and windowsill. I use a UV OZONE LAMP in my bedroom to clear the air. I check my ac filter for date to change. No infections because it would drain when I wake up and walk around but the headaches remained. . Needed this so much. The sharp pain headaches were unbearable at night. Could not lie on my rt side. Problems with rt upper mid gum Dentist said nothing there. It was my clogged sinuses! I can’t wait for a week or 2 to breath better out of my nostrils for the first time in years. Cant wait to talk less nasal and breath comfortably with my mouth shut, taste food more, smell things better, talk less nasal. The rt Sinus cavities were enlarged and the left slightly enlarged. I’m excited. Insurance paid. Migraines stopped and better sleep right away. There is so much that this office procedure does to change your life for the better. Good night sleep is crucial. This even affected my rt eye. A vein would bulge and gave me dry eye. Swelling blocked lacrimal ducts. Best thing I ever did for my health. I recommend.

Hi, I had my procedure done 10 days ago and still have a lot of congestion and nasal discharge. How many weeks/months did it take for you to feel back to 100%?
@surgicaltoolboxrnhealthbea3292
@surgicaltoolboxrnhealthbea3292 3 жыл бұрын
@@huntertatum2463 It takes about a month. Spray saline up hold your head back, then back down then blow. I did that a lot. You go back to the doctor around 3 to 4 times about once a week to get a little vacuuming out. At the second follow up your already doing better. You have debri up there. I ordered 8 boxes of tissues that have lotion on them from Walmart . Those never, ever make your nose sore. Blow to your heart content. In the beginning you can’t breath in until they clear the debri. I feel like my nostrils are a better wind tunnel and I can keep my mouth closed now. Afrin is only for occult bleeding. After it wears off there’s a rebound stuffy so don’t use it it much. You’ll be stuffy off and on for a few weeks. Less and less. I have 2 vacuum appts done and I feel great. Get rid of your allergens in your bedroom with uv ozone lamp before going to bed. www.surgicaltoolbox.us/products/110-v-50w-ozone-uv-sterilizing-lamp-remote-timer

It depends on your medical insurance. If no insurance its in the thousands of US dollars. I had the same problem as you. Jan. last year the ENT said I needed surgery to remove polyps. Did it in July but took a month to return to normal. It was great till Mar. when it started plugged up again. By July ENT doctor said my polyps are huge that I needed surgery again🥺. I searched the internet for treatments and found Xhance. Called ENT but wouldn't respond. Went to my regular doctor and asked for it. I used flonase first to shrink it (you need to really shove it up as much as possible. After 3 weeks Of day and night flonsse, it did shrink. Then started Xhance, about 2 weeks later, I'm totally clear! Now in late September I ran out and it's going to cost me $429😳a month. My first month was free. Now I'm back on flonase hoping that its making its way up in my nose cavity. They are both the same drug it's just how it gets up there. So far I'm ok. I might do surgery again since it's free compare to $429 for Xhance.

@@Sam-656 remove the polyps. You’ll be happy after the swelling goes down 4 to 6 weeks. You still have to address the root cause and get allergens out of the air.

I read that some of the risks of balloon sinuplasty is damage to the optic nerve and another is a distortion in the physical appearance of the nose. I'm wondering why you did not address these risks. You also didn't talk about the limited length of time the positive results can last. I heard that they often don't last longer than two years, at which time you may need to re-do the procedure. If you keep having this done every few years, it increases the chances of some of those side effects occurring.

Sinusitis is basically a sinus infection. It can go away w/ antibiotics. Allergic rhinitis is when you get consistent sinus infections from an allergen in your life. The allergen can be environmental. Just try talking to your doctor

Allergic rhinitis is not a sinus infection caused by allergies. Allergic rhinitis is inflammation, redness, and itching of the nose/sinuses caused by allergies. Allergic rhinitis can often lead or contribute to sinus infections, but it isn’t actually sinus infections itself

Wait until they’re about 17 and done growing, and then get the surgery. Unless it’s for a son, you want your son grow tall and strong so you should get your son the surgery earlier, maybe like 14 for a son
