Clemente was scared of dying in a plane crash yet he got on an overloaded plane with a sketchy pilot. Some might question why Clemente would do that but I think Clementes caring about others overrode his fear. Now that is a humanitarian

Neil is a fine ballplayer and he seems like a great guy. I remember his dad Tom came to PR to pitch for the San Juan Senators in that 1972-73 winter ball season and since he was helping Roberto with the plane cargo he may have been the last baseball player who saw him alive. Thank you for the interview. But those photos of a plane crash in 2:07, please get rid of that ! They have no relation with Roberto's accident. Everybody knows Clemente's plane, which was a small one, went down in the Atlantic Ocean. Just one of the five bodies was recovered from the sea. The photos do not belong in this video.

Thats actually his mothers maiden name... If you're born in puerto rico .. Youll have your last names hyphenated with the fathers being 1st then the mothers maiden name. His name is Roberto Clemente-Walker

Neil was one helluva football player too, his HS, Pine Richland played in a blizzard in a state championship in Hershey, to this day still one of the best football games at any level, i have seen

He's wrong about only Roberto and the pilot dying in the crash.My mother's cousin's husband died with them including two more.

That's right, Arthur J Rivera (plane owner), Francisco Matías (a mechanic who sat in the flight engineer's seat), Ángel Lozano and Jerry Hill (pilot) also died in the crash. Hill's body was the only one that was recovered. I was 14 but I never forgot their names. Blessings from San Juan 🇵🇷.
