She claims she has traction alopecia which is hair loss due to tightly pulled hairstyles, such as braids, dreadlocks, or a tight ponytail. Caught early, it is fully reversible and the hair can regrow. Over time, however, hair follicles can become irreversibly damaged.

Yes. Another hairdresser here. She's at a stretch got tiny patches of tension alopecia. Caused from too tight braids/weaves etc... Not alopecia nervosa which is what was implied. These people live in Delulu land. 🚩👀🙄

I manufactured wigs and took care of Hair Loss for 27 years. I did about 80,000 weeks a month. That woman does not have alopecia which is blotch and spot Hair Loss. She bleachers her hair and destroys it and she has a receding hairline that’s on top of her ears and she don’t like it. It has nothing to do with alopecia she’s going bald. She has a receding, hairline. She over processes her hair with blonde bleaching stripping then color. It has nothing to do with alopecia stop insulting woman that have alopecia.

@snowyboots She doesn't have alopecia of any description, but she does have severe vanity and the OP is right....or don't you think someone like Jada can't read and manipulate those around her? When this story broke I and many others called her out for her narcissism and her obvious bending of the truth. Does she not see all those bald men around her? I guess it isn't rocket science as to who the majority of people were that called her out? That's just my take on it of course.

@@snowyboots2706 And yet you disregarded the OP's opinion. Irony....look it up. As for Jada? In her case vanity and her *claim* of alopecia are certainly mutually exclusive, narcissists are very good at lying except it doesn't work with *everyone* whether they meet them in person or not. Maybe you should step back a bit and look *very closely* at her claims and put it into *context* but first you have to go back a bit long before this incident happened, what you'll find might change your mind......might.

Defo, alopecia doesn’t have stubble, it’s bald. If it was alopecia you would see patches of bald between the shaved bits. She may have had hair thinning due to getting older with menopause but I wouldn’t call that alopecia. In alopecia there is absolutely no hair regrowing in those bald patches…. I’m a hairdresser and if someone said shave all my hair off coz I’ve got bald patches I’d probably try to talk them out of it, plus if she was soooo concerned about them you’d think the last thing she would want would be a totally bald head…. Doesn’t make sense to me

I have Alopecia Universalis. It hasn't stopped me from working. I put on my bandanas and hat every morning and head off to work. I'm just happy my eyelashes and brows grew back. Losing them was the hardest part. I have a dark patch of hair on my scalp where I first discovered the hair loss. Also, seeing more peach fuzz coming in so I am hopeful I will have a full head of hair again. In Jada's case it's "disabling" because she lives in a World that defines people by outward appearance. I've only had one person ask what kind of cancer I have. Others just compliment my bandanas. Most people don't care or keep their opinions to themselves.

No one asked him to stay with his creepy, lying, attention seeking not disabled wife. Will is a comedian actor and knows the drill. I hate both him and his wife for this very crude display. Chris did not deserve any of that bs. I have nothing but respect for Chris, and I'm glad he didn't suffer long term medical damage. If words are violence then reply with words which will be more effective than physical force if they are so violent. This is the problem with cancel culture, you prevent the right to reply? Hmm. I'm not for curtailing freedom of speech. And I think resilience to criticism or abuse is to be encouraged, however taking the position "Words are violence? - NO THEY ARE NOT!" is very unsophisticated. It doesn't take much imagination to appreciate that words can be akin to violence. Imagine you have a beloved 12 year old daughter, and when she walks home from school a group of older boys she passes say horrific things to her every day. This will traumatise her and effect her physical system profoundly. We are social creatures. To be threatened, rejected or held in contempt effects our biology.

And a lot of people with African curly hair wear wigs as a matter of convenience, so if she didn't want to make a big deal about it, she could have made a cool headpiece, and she also would have pulled that off beautifully. So she was sitting there, waiting to be offended. That's the problem: mental de-stability.
