I just sold my Khaki 38mm. Although it was a nice watch i never really wore it much. I paid £415 just over a year ago and sold it for the same price as the RRP for the bracelet version now has an RRP of £700! This looks like a decent homage and the lume, screwdown crown and ar coating are definitely improvements over the original.

This looks great, blue dial and black date- just lovely! Makes me want to put on my Khaki, which is 42 mm. This is what I want, this blue Baltany in 42 mm - would be bloody perfect! Baltany was always up there with their vintage pieces and the chronographs, but now with the new Divers they’re really gearing up! Not so flashy like the other brands, they really found their niche with those somewhat vintage inspired or field pieces!

Great review & good looking watch! I do have the OG version but i do like that this one has a date on it. It also seems a bit smaller lug to lug so it can fit better on my wrist. Thanks for the review and suggestion!

I had this watch in my cart for a couple of months, now with current aliexpress sale I pulled the trigger along with the Milifortic Murph and man, being my first automatic watches I couldn't be happier

This looks a great watch and I have no doubts it is of quality. With that being said. I have several Hamilton watches and they are good as advertised. Never had an issue with any of them. If i didn't have a Hamilton. This would definitely be a watch i would consider but Hamilton has something Baltany doesn't. Heritage. Legacy. I don't feel Baltany nor any aliexpress has that yet. Lastly, it's apparent that Baltany has produced a good looking watch and I'm sure they will continue to do so my hat's off to them for producing good watches. My long-winded two cents. Cheers!

I own the black dial 38mm original. This looks reallywell made, but I was sold on the 80h power reserve of the Hamilton.

Excellent review of a very good tool watch. I have already bought two watches in the AliExpress sale, but may be tempted by the Tandorio Automatic Pilot Leather Strap Screw Crown NH35A 39mm which will perform the same function as the Baltany in my collection but is on sale for £30-37 - A bargain

Cheers mate! I've had a few Tandorios on the channel and they make some awesome value for money watches. They do have suspect water resistance (check out the tests by "I Like Watches") and they're not in the same league as Baltany but nevertheless they're great value. Excellent watch! I'm just not entirely sure about the date window. Perhaps better at 6 o'clock? But definitely no deal killer. Brown definitely goes better with the blue dial.

I went for it. With discounts it came to $185 and change. Canadian Amazon wanted $750 for a Khaki field . I have a Baltany dirty dozen quartz I like. Thanks.

Picked this up in the sale. Cant wait for it to arrive. How is the AR coating? Is there a blue tint at all? Hopefully it's clear, but on a blue dial, blue AR isn't as offensive.

I think you'll love it mate. The AR coating is pretty much clear. It's my 3rd Baltany and the crystals and AR have been excellent on all of them. Thanks for watching 👍👍

As you say this would make a great everyday watch. It copies the Hamilton, but I wouldn't buy the Hamilton due to 50m WR and their movements can't be regulated at home.

It's a generic field watch design, Hamilton didn't invent or own that watch face The time expedition scout looks almost the same as well,and that's not a "Hamilton homage" either.

DON'T buy a baltany watch. My baltany watch completely failed after wearing it 4 times. I contacted baltany requesting their address so I could ship it to them to be repaired / replaced, it has a 2 year warranty. They refused to provide their shipping address and said to have it serviced locally, despite the movement completely failing. Unbelievable, they are NOT a legitimate company. Their ‘warranty’ is fake. RUN from this scam.

They have some very cool watches but if I was going for this style of field watch I'd pay a little extra for a Bulova hack. Just has more history for this style and the slightly yellow numbers look nicer than the plain white. Very nice watch for the price, though.
