I have noticed that most of their videos are 10 minutes long whereas the other station has 30 seconds there, a couple of minutes there. And their gals on the street are usually chasing down the officials for Q&A.

Baltimore City Fire used to be one of the best agencies in the state. Decent retirement, decent pay, benefits for the most part were really good and there was a true pride in the department. It's a shame how horrible leadership and corruption can destroy what was once a proud beacon in emergency services. Baltimore has become a shell of what it once was and it's heartbreaking.

There are millions of gas regulators across the USA, this is nothing new. A few years ago, there was an over pressure event in Boston that lead to houses exploding, gas regulators at each house would have prevented this. The safety aspect of in house regulators is that the atmospheric vent can leak gas if the diaphragm fails so it is better to have the regulator outside. ( this kind of failure isn't common ) There is absolutely no way these regulators can increase the gas used resulting in higher costs

I believe the issue is that a lot of the neighborhoods in Baltimore are historic, and people do not like the look of the gas regulator pipes outside their historic house.

@@TheLast-One How about putting a wrot iron screen over the regulator or some plants? The area seems to be near the intersection of Warren Ave and Battery Ave. If you had the choice between a gas over pressure event causing your house to explode or a regulator outside, what would you chose? If these people don't want regulators, they can always have the gas disconnected and use electric.

@@TheLast-One The BGE manual lists clear space as 57" however, there is a requirement that any meter / regulator within 36 " of vehicle traffic be protected by a bollard directly in front of the devices. I don't call a few plants an obstruction nor a trash can on a sidewalk or vehicle parked with in 36" Regardless, if they don't like gas co rules, they can have the gas shut off.

Politicians have failed this city for decades! I feel bad for the hood people in Baltimore I really do. People that have trusted the very same people who have failed them. Those same ones that go to the beautiful home in the county and have peace a quite and a fire department that is fully staffed

Right, very nice comment. 3/4 of a billion $$$ every 12 months in the city to " correct" about 20 murders and maybe 70 non-fatal shootings. Meanwhile still above 300 and 1000 respectively in those categories. All other crime stats are through the roof. Simple science. Simple math. Simple data!. Everyone left behind. Moore or Less!!!

I’m motivated to stay in BCFD. Best job in the world. Other departments try to recruit us because we’ve seen it all and have experience they do not have. Sad that the city can not pay. I’ve been volunteering to recruit young people. We need many more. Maybe incentive Fire Fighters to recruit young members.

@@johnsmith5028 It is an easy fix: arrest the chimps and confiscate the bikes. In Europe they would get stopped in 5 minutes simply for not wearing a helmet, have their license revoked for skipping a stop sign - assuming these m0r0ns have one in the first place - and then arrested for riding while stoned. These rats belong in jail.
