100%. I met Phil and April on the boardwalk in Wildwood one year during the Viva La Bam era and they were absolutely genuine. I was a freshman in high school, I spotted them on a tram, jumped off… and tried talking to them. They both talked to me like they knew me and answered all my dumbass questions about the show and Bam and the crew. They spent about 5 minutes politely talking to me and took a pic with my brother, my friend and myself. Then they got bombarded lol. They genuinely are really sweet and loving people and I got to experience that first hand. It’s sad how Bam took advantage of their kindness and love. But I always think about that timeframe and always wish them the best. Just really genuine and real people who were thrown into their son’s circus.

Yeah, nowadays seems like he has lost it, but at least he is now happy. Look "Bam is Back" interview from 2014 and you see how much he has changed, he is happy, but he is doing drugs or something. But he has had hard time after Dunn's death and divorce with Missy. I hope someday he gets over it.

I was tearing up for Phil. His face and eye movements just break my heart. I couldn't believe all this was happening, even the fact that i cared so much about someone I never actually met before. It might be because Jackass isn't really a movie like others. They weren't acting, what we saw were raw reactions, emotions, and characters. Felt like I really knew the guys.

It's sad how the other guy that died was barely even recognized. He was a passenger and had no control over his death, but, they hardly say his name or even acknowledge him. At least they do some in this video. But, usually, they don't mention him at all.
@itsaboutTime2revolt6 жыл бұрын
Earthling1984....he had no control over his death?? Um, I'm sorry... But you're way wrong here man. Did someone force him to get into a car with a drunk driver? No. He made that decision of his own free will...and unfortunately sometimes the consequences for our decisions are costly. And the passenger could have also taken Dunn's keys from him too, knowing that he was drunk. So neither is free of fault here. They each shoulder some of the blame for each other's deaths. But it shouldn't be about who's fault it is, and I only mention the above because it's true. More importantly: Two young men lost their lives, and left behind many loved ones hurting unbelievably. I hope people can learn from their mistakes, and this tragedy prevents others in the future. May the victims rest in peace, and may their friends, and family find peace as well someday.
@jeffcase78275 жыл бұрын
@@itsaboutTime2revolt As true as it is, it's still pretty sad he ended up dead, he made a choice to drive, but when it came to dying he had no control, It's a sad thing too.
@tipsythefedora3 жыл бұрын
Ryan Dunn didn’t “make a choice to drive” He made a choice to drive recklessly while under the influence of alcohol and he killed the passenger in the process. As for the passenger, did he willingly get into the car? Yes. Did he know Dunn would drive 100 mph? Who knows? Did he ask Dunn to stop? Did he ask to get out? Who knows.

Phil is so genuine. I'll never forget the Viva La Bam where the objective was to "Get Phil Pissed off'' and went so far to smash his van in a car crusher. He still didn't loose his cool. Instead of stick with the plan, Bam felt so bad that he went and bought his Dad a brand spankin' new Van. The scene of Phil smiling and pulling in Bam to kiss him on his cheek in thanks was really cool. Class act. Loves his boy and his boy loves him. Might have been the only time Bam was defeated in the series. And it was a really great episode.

That's true but I think that bar was very close to home and people there would figure he'd be home in no time. Ive stopped friends from getting in their cars but I've also been in the same situation many many times! I'm lucky to be alive! It's that bar scene where everyone is pretty much in the same state of mind. What I'm wondering is what actually caused him to go off road. At first I thought he wanted to turn at the last second. Then I thought he was racing and got cut off. He may have also just got distracted. There's another set of skid marks in the street that are unexplained! Did they stop first causing the accident or after when seeing what happened? RIP Dunn!
