Had a gear drive on my bracket motor, until it failed (after 300 runs). Went to a Jesel belt, far better, and you can visually inspect it easily.

What kind of gear drive? I've never seen a single fixed idler, full cover style fail. The cheap "dual idler" ones are junk....and those have failed....I USED to run a belt until it failed....never again. Back to a gear drive for me.

Are you running oil feed restrictors in the lifter bore? If so what size? I have some Bams for my Pontiac Stroker

Solid roller cams and street use! LT1 SBC Gen1 / Gen2 Watch this video before you decide to go solid
